4 College Senior

Greek Life: Greek life is very rewarding. It develops relationships for future success in the business world outside of college. They do many community service/philanthropic events. Non-Greeks tend to undermine the true value of Greek life and refuse to give it a chance.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: No real issues, a simple online process.

4 College Senior

Majors: A lot of interesting majors with a lot of good opportunities.

3 College Senior

Local Area: Good atmosphere overall, but could use more attractions.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are tons of places to go to with such a wide variety to choose from in both taste and cost.

4 College Junior

Majors: Admission was easy and as long as you like lots of sciences, you'll do fine. Sciences can be very hard, but the professors are pretty helpful.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: The scholarship portal is a great feature and easy to use, especially when the same questions are used for multiple applications. You can just copy and paste.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Greek pledge week and membership clothing and accessories are all I've noticed. I go to school for school then come home. I'm not very involved.

4 College Junior

Administration: Each class reminds students about academic honesty and there are several programs used by professors to ensure this.

College Sophomore

Party Scene: do not ever go to parties here, they get too wild.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: hardly no aid for out of state students, sucks!!!!

Off-Campus Housing: Sucks to have to pay rent and tons of additional expenses. It is better to pay one lump sum and live on campus...

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I do not live on campus but it seems safe, fun, and close to main lecture halls

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: Its boring but there is a lot of job opportunities here

1 College Freshman

Administration: Michael Crow is a money grubbing big wig.

Greek Life: I cannot stand Greek life. It is quite possibly what sickens me the most about ASU. As far as social atmosphere goes you cannot take more than a step on campus and see someone with a sorority or frat t-shirt on. I've witnessed acts of outright racism by more than one fraternity or sorority on campus.

Health & Safety: There is a police station on campus and one very close (in the downtown area). However security on campus is rarely seen, in my opinion.

Off-Campus Dining: I do not eat out at restaurants frequently. Many in the Tempe area are typical chains.

Majors: As a student in the Teachers College an internship as a teacher is part of the course and required for graduation. Finding an internship doesn't worry me, as it is basically provided in your junior and senior years of college. What does worry me however is that because the "internship" is required and takes place Monday through Friday -- I am concerned about my current job. This is also a point of great concern for other students who do work and or come from working class families.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
