Parking: Parking at Arizona State can be very frustrating. You have to have a parking permit first off and the closer you want to get to campus the more expensive the permit, but even then it's still impossible to find parking. If you know where the lightrail park and rides are located those garages normally have free parking so that's a plus.

Weather: The weather at Arizona State is pretty nice. During the summer and fall it's pretty hot but it's a dry heat so there is not a lot of humidity. During the winter it gets pretty cold so it's a nice change.

Parking: Parking on/off campus is a nightmare. On campus parking is very expensive, and far from most of the buildings. However, the shuttle system is very useful, once you get used to it!

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: The drug scene at Arizona State is not that big. Alcohol seems to be the popular "drug" of choice.

Scholarships: I have recieved the allotted amount of federal financial aid from ASU. However, it has been really hard getting in contact with helpful people, to see about residency issues, scholarships, and other needed information for financial aid. You really have to stay on top of things, and continue to call and ask for help, until you are able to get someone who either knows what is going on, or someone who is willing to help give you the information that you are looking for.

Athletics: Big competitor in several sports in our division.

Football, Basketball, and Baseball are the big sports here, but there are swim teams, and others.

There are competitive leagues and casual leagues for those that aren't playing on the school's team.

Guys & Girls: People from all over - lots of party types, but hey ... it is a party school.

Lots of attractive girls, and a good mix of girls / guys

Technology: Lots of labs are being upgraded, especially in the engineering areas.

Large monitors, plenty of ram and processing power, shared drives are more than sufficient.

A- Is because all systems aren't this way yet, but its in process.

3 College Freshman

Majors: The field of engineering is becoming more competitive then ever before.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I don't seem to have any problems commuting around ASU

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: There seems to be a good handle on the whole no drug tolerance on campus.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Traffic seems somewhat nonexistent so it doesn't bother me much

3 College Sophomore

Academics: It is a great school with a diverse community, however, it is pricey!

3 College Senior

Party Scene: Mill Ave and Old Town are the most popular places to be; whether you're an ASU college student or not. There's tons of options and a variety of people!

4 College Junior

Academics: General education is not difficult, specialty schools are key for advanced academics

Parking: Parking at any university is going to be expensive which was the only problem I had with their parking. The cheapest lot is about a ten minute walk but well worth it if you carpool with others. Once you have figured out the layout of the school and where your classes are you learn different ways to park and places to park.

Local Area: There is a great environment at ASU. There are tons and tons of students who live on campus, or close to campus, that creates an atmosphere that you can relate too. There are mostly College students that live in the town (Tempe) so your neighbors are your friends, and your not having problems with your living situation.

Campus Housing: I lived on campus for three years and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I highly recommend freshman living on campus in order to meet new people and experience what it's like. My sophomore and junior year I lived in upperclassmen dorms which were like apartments. I absolutely loved it all three years I lived on campus!

Greek Life: At Arizona state university the Greek life seems to be a big part of the school. It costs a lot of money in order to stay in Greek life but most of the frats and sororities are helpful to other students and the community.

4 College Senior

Transportation: Transportation is pretty good around Tempe. We have buses that run regularly as well as the light rail that runs to campus. ASU also has a safety escort that runs until 2am and will pick you up in the middle of campus and take you back to your dorm or to your car in the parking garage.

4 College Senior

Campus Quality: At the beginning of fall semester every year they have a tradition where all the students go and paint the A on 'A Mountain', everyone walks up and splashes white paint onto the A. It is a really cool tradition.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I received a good amount of aid the first years and now they take money away that i need because i do not want to accept a loan. I do not think that is acceptable.

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: cost is expensive and having a roommate is a must.

4 College Junior

Academics: Arizona State is top 100 colleges and offer many online degrees.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: You can go nearby the Tempe campus and go to Mill Ave and enjoy Hooters and other nearby bars and restaurants. There is a variety of food at Tempe Marketplace.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
