Greek Life: Coming from a non-greek, the greek life is the absolute worst and I think its overrated now.

Athletics: This school spends a great deal of money on athletics. As of right now the football stadium is being entirely remodeled and there is a lot of school spirit when the football games come around.

Off-Campus Housing: I wish I could live off campus because the apartments are great, the locations are excellent but the availability may not be so great especially when it comes to prices. The off campus apartments are EXPENSIVE.

Off-Campus Dining: There really isn't any good student discounts, the off campus food is okay but there is a variety of restaurants so its not so bad.

2 College Sophomore

Administration: I lived in the dorms and even though the floor leaders made it clear they would not tolerate drinking or drugs or any disturbing noises after a specific time, it still happened continuously through out the entire floor. there were always people running or screaming and there was a constant drinking and drug use.

Party Scene: There are plenty of students who party at ASU, this school is more known for parties than the education. But the partying creates negativity on my student experience because this leads to immature decisions and students thinking they are cool if they go out to college parties.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It takes a while to get financial aid, and it is also very upsetting when financial aid, two loans, and a scholarship won't fully cover the cost of one semester. I might not be able to continue attending school because I cannot afford it.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The food is not bad but it is not great, definitely need more options.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The only great factor about living on campus is being on campus, being able to walk to class. However I did not enjoy the little amount of space I had sharing a dorm, also sharing one bathroom with three other people including the many other guests visiting my suite-mates. It was difficult working on homework in my own room because of the distracting noises from the hallways of freshman college students messing around. And it is extremely expensive to live on campus. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I hated going back to my dorm, it was not comfortable at all.

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus housing is generally overpriced, but the locations are great.

Administration: This campus isn't very strict at all, but that policy is often abused.

4 College Junior

Party Scene: I am not a huge partier but I am lucky to have access to some of the fantastic parties here.

Campus Food: The campus meal plans are overpriced and serve generally unhealthy food.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The campus housing is pretty average, but the amenities are all right.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I received a FAFSA scholarship for this past year and it was fairly easy to receive once the forms were completed.

Campus Housing: Being my first year on college, I have really enjoyed living in the dorms. I have my own space, it is clean. The maintenance people always responds the same or next day. I like how our laundry is free. We have study rooms that we can have study sessions in.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
