4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I know many people who live off campus at my school and it is less expensive and still great quality.

Scholarships: They are helping but I am still trying to figure things out on my own.

Scholarships: I have a really nice scholarship, but they are discontinuing it so any advice I have doesn't really apply. I guess the thing to remember is to never assume. Always make sure you are checking in to make sure what you think is happening is actually what is happening. The good thing is its a small school so they know you and it is easy to get in.

Weather: The weather here is wonderful and because of that I like to be outside a lot doing things with people

Athletics: Small school and athletes are usually frowned upon.

Campus Quality: Campus life is largely split between those that participate a lot and those that don't at all. Very little middle ground there. They always have a well planned and thought out theme for each yeah and stick with it and keep it going strong the whole way.

Campus Quality: This is a smaller campus, and many of the buildings are old, though most having some form of renovation over the years. For what is available, they certainly utilize them to the max possible ways. Beyond the basics of what a university needs to function there is not much else.

Academics: Most professors have been around the school for awhile, and not in that the should have moved on and got boring kind either. They genuinely care about students success and will go out of their way to make that happen.

Academics: This is a behavior health tract I'm currently in. The degree is mainly focused towards counseling, and in that regard it is very well rounded and yet still in depth enough in each area to give a great understanding to take into the field.

Campus Food: Only one caffeteria and place to eat available. Not bad, but little selection and often same things.

Party Scene: Due to the nature of the school, and the students who attend, parties are not near as common as in like a state university for example.

Diversity: Phoenix is a rather diverse place by nature, and this school is not looking for anything specific so there is a fairly decent mix of people diversity. The school is above average in costs, and not so above average in funds available so it leans to those of great economic status. Being a christian university you can imagine by nature alone, diversity in religion is not as noticeable.

Majors: It is a very simple process. The summer going into my first year I filled out forms declaring my major and a couple of weeks before school was an orientation where you completed your schedule with an advisor. They had a recommended schedule already based on your major but you had the choice to make adjustments.

Local Area: It's in a nice area where there is a large mall nearby and also plenty of places to eat. It is in a nicer part of town where you feel safe.

Parking: The parking was improved as more space was opened up. It's free and no one is forced to park far from campus.

Health & Safety: It's a small campus that is safe and is in a low crime area.

Majors: The process of getting into my Music major was a breeze. I auditioned by singing a song I had prepared and took a written exam. They told me right after that I had made it into the Music program.

Diversity: There is some diversity at ACU, but not a lot. Mostly everyone is white and comes from the same background. Everyone is pretty similar on their religious beliefs since it is a Christian University, but we love and accept those who may not have the same belief system.

Campus Housing: Love the atmosphere, but cost is high like most colleges to live in dorms.

Campus Quality: The campus is small, because they started out small. Now that they've done a whole bunch of marketing and improvements, they have more students than the campus can really cater to. It's crowded in the library, and there aren't a ton of open quiet spaces inside to work on a laptop. If you have a dorm room you're okay, but commuters typically have to study off campus.

Majors: As an education major, I will be student teaching, which kind of acts as an internship in a sense. Student teachers are unpaid, but the time commitment can be just as rigorous as a regular paid teacher.

The variety of Majors here is limited, but the developed programs (The ones around before 2010) are good.

Campus Housing: Campus housing is extremely limited. the facilities themselves are nice, better than average dorms. It's great for a year to get socialized on campus, but loud freshman and kids up at all hours makes it hard to study in your own room at times.

Scholarships: They're so flooded with the influx of students, that they cannot process paperwork fast enough on their out of date systems. They'll be moving to Jenzebar this year, which was definitely paid for by raised tuition, room and board, and pretty much fees across the bar. Expect tuition to keep going up. Hopefully you won't have to wait 2.5 hours the first 3 weeks of school to see 1 of 2 financial advisers. Make appointments early, and keep checking.

Scholarships: I got a decent amount of aid, although most was achieved and found on my own beyond those the school offered directly. The scholarships thorough the school are varied, and unique compared to many other universities, especially if you happen to be an athlete in one of the sports offered.

Campus Quality: I love the look of campus. They have upgraded a lot around campus.
