3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Septa can get you to the mall and into Philly, but it's better to have a car if you want to go grocery shopping or venture out past the bus lines.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Sometimes the buses don't come on time.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: It's Septa. Not much to say.

3 College Junior

Transportation: When living on campus, I feel like I need to have a car to get to the grocery store or to wawa or the mall if I want to go do something. However, most kids without a car at least know someone with a car so they're never truly without transportation to places. The public bus will do in a pinch though I've never taken it.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Arcadia is a small campus so you don't really need a car to get to classes. The train station is an easy walk from campus so travel into the city or anywhere else in the area really isn't that bad, and if you need a car, you can always ask one of your friends that has a car on campus or one of your upperclassmen friends.

While Glenside doesn't necessarily have all of the traveling amenities that other campuses do, it does have the resource of Philadelphia nearby. If students need to get home, and home is in California, the Philadelphia International Airport is only a 30-minute car ride away. Arcadia students are pretty lucky, considering some campuses are out in the middle of nowhere, where the biggest international airport can be a three- to four-hour ride away. However, the only real obstacle when dealing with getting to the airport is how to get there, which often requires some planning and sometimes begging. Meanwhile, in terms of local transportation, the SEPTA bus system seems to suffice. Students don't necessarily need to have a car to get around.
