Off-Campus Housing

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: It seems like the towers are a pretty good alternative for housing.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: It's great in terms of the fact that there are several options, but the quality of those options is another point. Expense is an issue with both on and off campus housing unfortunately so there isn't a great advantage either way.

Off-Campus Housing: Depending on where you live you can have different experiences. Unless you have a car, you'd have to walk to Towers. Their payments are due monthly which can be difficult if you don't have a job, but they're cheaper than on-campus housing. Availability overall is somewhat limited. There isn't too many spots open so you have to have a back up plan. I was also told the apartments behind the diner have rats and are very dirty.

Off-Campus Housing: There weren't a lot of options when I was looking - but if you are looking to live with roommates, there are more options and price goes down quickly. Lots of students live in the Towers or just up the road.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: The towers are the closest off campus housing and it is still a decent distance with the same local areas as the in campus housing.

Most people live on campus at Arcadia, but there are some perks to living off campus. You get more freedom, can cook for yourself, and don't have to feel dependent on the University for everything. However, rent can be expensive, especially in the Philadelphia area. If you do choose to live off campus, the best bet is to find roommates to help defray the costs.
