3 College Sophomore

Local Area: It's cute and little. Very local

3 College Freshman

Local Area: I'm not exactly impressed with Glenside. It's a cute town but, Philly is really where all the fun stuff happens.

3 College Freshman

Local Area: the town of glenside is boring, got to take a bus to the mall in willow grove. or you could spend money for a train to philly which never happens

2 College Freshman

Local Area: For a social butterfly like myself, Glenside is dull and hard to live in. Downtown Glenside has a few cute shops but that's about it. There aren't really any attractions unless you feel like taking a 30 minute train ride to the city, which surprisingly many students don't feel like doing.

3 College Freshman

Local Area: It appears that the local area is recovering from the economic recession. With that being said, there's not much to see and do in the downtown area. If one is interested in thrift, consignment, and boutique shops, there are plenty of those in the area. There are a few dining places off campus, yet the dining areas are not very diverse. In terms of safety, most students feel safe walking around the downtown area. Local attitude towards students is above average. Business owners take interest in customers who are students, and they do give discounts to any student who shows their Knight card. In terms of activities, there are little to no activities in the local area.

Glenside is a small suburb with a few great restaurants and bars. There are several thrift stores nearby and a mall in Willow Grove, as well. Glenside is located near Jenkintown, so many students venture there for fun. Glenside is also close enough to Philadelphia that one can make a day of wandering around the city, enjoying the shopping, history, and sights. Though there is little to do right around Arcadia, there are plenty of ways of getting around to nearby places of interest through the SEPTA bus system and train station, which is within walking distance from Arcadia.
