Health & Safety

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I think that some of the times of it are just inconvenient. And they won't see you unless you have an appointment after 12:30. I was told there I could go any time and when I was really really ill, they responded with "just come back tomorrow at 8:30am" and refused to see me. Once I actually went though the help was great. The practitioners that come in are wonderful too.

Health & Safety: We do not have real police officers on campus. We do not know the way in which Public Safety is trained here, which makes me feel like I would be better off protecting myself if I needed help.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The security on campus is excellent. There are rare cases of campus crime. In terms of personal safety, I rarely felt unsafe walking around campus at night. Public safety is always on rounds, and are there to assist anyone who is in need. Moreover, the public safety staff are very friendly.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I'm a commuter, and sometimes if I decide to stay on campus til like 3 am, I feel perfectly fine and safe doing so. The campus is just as lit up at night as it is during the day. Not worried at all.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There's public safety on duty all the time and there is a police station down the road for extreme situations

Security is good at Arcadia. Students are required to swipe identification cards to enter every building. There are cameras all over campus, and Public Safety is a visible presence every day. They are very helpful when students accidentally lock themselves out of a building or room, although too many lockouts results in a fine. Overall, Arcadia is a very safe campus. There have been instances of theft and alcohol incidents, but they are taken care of quickly and efficiently.
