Health & Safety

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The students and staff at ASU work hard to prevent sexual assault, and they provide many valuable resources to educate students and help victims.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I have not had very many encounters with safety, but those I have have been okay. I am not able to adequately judge whether or not situations are handled in the best way possible.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I haven't had any experience with campus crime on campus, although I'm not blind to it and I am aware that it is there. I felt unsafe because of someone's significant other this last year, and I was given so many resources and people to talk to. My RA and RD became involved immediately and passed the information on to campus police and a counselor for intrapersonal violence. Everyone was very supportive and I had several appointments and meetings to discuss the matter, and it was not even my relationship that I was speaking on behalf of. From my experience, I feel very safe on campus and I feel that the safety of others is highly regarded by all those in charge. I was given the direct cell number of my RD and the head of intrapersonal violence, just in case something were to happen with the person I felt threatened by.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Security on campus is good, and I undoubtedly feel safe walking around campus no matter what time it is. While there have been cases of assault, they have been very far and few between.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: I really don't see safety and security as an issue at all on campus. I honestly can say that I feel safe walking alone around campus, or just in the city of Boone in general. It is a wonderful college town, and there has been some issues with sexual assault in the past but nothing major.
