Campus Food: Nothing special about our dining halls. There's a few good things like "B for D" (breakfast for dinner) on Thursdays, but food is of average quality and not a lot of local options.

Off-Campus Housing: It depends on where you're trying to live. If you want a great place to live you have to jump on it!

Off-Campus Dining: Boone has AWESOME food! Late night cookie delivery, pizza places, tons of Mexican options, late night bagels and Jimmy Johns.

5 College Junior

Administration: Don't do stuff you're not supposed to do and you won't have a problem. Or don't do it in the dorm at least.

5 College Junior

Scholarships: I never had a problem with getting my financial aid at App.

5 College Junior

Party Scene: Parties at App are always a lot of fun. Good themes at fraternity parties.

Campus Food: McAlister's- all day everyday! Having McAlister's on campus is amazing!

Campus Housing: The dorm I lived in, Cone Hall, was recently renovated and very nice! The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were always kept clean.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I always get what I need.

College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I have not yet transferred.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a ton of awesome off campus dining in Boone.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Administration is okay, although it is easy to get away with things in dorms.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: I am going to school on a GI Bill, so financial aid isn't as applicable to me.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I don't go to parties often, but the few parties I have been to didn't make me want to come back.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: I personally enjoy the campus food more than other people I know.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I live in a very small dorm and the rules are not enforced very well.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It's the best school I got into and I have had a great experience. Campus is beautiful but could be flatter. Parking could be more available. Friends and social life are great and I've been introduced to many new and cool things. But if I could get into a school with a better journalism program and the cost was reasonable I would go.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It could be better but Appalachian is one of the better schools in North Carolina so it could be worse.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Professors are great and fairly helpful and flexible when you need them.

Athletics: We've got some good teams in several sports but the glory days of our athletics have been left in the past and attendance is average.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Many great choices that are decently close to campus, most have available bus routes to campus nearby, and are for relatively good prices.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Many great pizza and sandwich delivery places that will deliver well after midnight. There's also a takeout service that will pick up food from local restaurants that you order and deliver it to you

4 College Freshman

Administration: Overall the administration is happy to let us have our say and our fun. Sometimes they break it up but for them most part they respect us as adults.

College Freshman

Scholarships: I did not receive any scholarship money to attend this school

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: Fraternity parties are usually a lot of fun but Greek life is fairly small.
