Academic Flexibility: it's okay as long as you are not an Honor's student. there is usually only one honor's class per subject area, and Honors option teachers are limited, too.

Tuition & Financial Aid: the school won't distribute financial aid until 2 weeks into the semester because of "skippers". and, your award is given out twice: one at the beginning of the semester, and the other half near the middle-end.

Campus Resources: you pretty much have to figure out your stuff on your own to get accurate information. the staff will yo-yo you around, and not all departments are helpful. you are expected to know it or figure it out.

Overall Experience: I like the courses and most professors. The electives have been very eye opening and I have enjoyed the challenge of being at this level!

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: It's very interactive. The students are very excited to learn and it has been a wonderful experience being around others with my major.

Academic Experience: It could be a lot worse, but it could be a lot better too. I think the person who designed the website is burning in hell for it. The set up is confusing and you often get misdirected while trying to sign up for classes which is already a stressful process.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I did not know that not declaring a major would stop my financial aid (that needs to change. Not everyone knows they what they want when they're 17!) and it caused a bit of a hassle that I did not need. However my dad is a financial aid advisor for Pierce, so he made things go a lot smoother than I ever could have by myself.

Student Body: There are ups and downs. Nothing to really set it apart from other schools.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Unfortunately I have commitments that prevent me from any evening classes when I am at the height of my thinking. The online courses offered a bit of help in that area but I am still forced to complete the majority of my classes in a time where I am not fully there.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: The group discussions were mandatory which seemed to force the conversation as people would only put their required number of posts and replies. However I liked learning at my own pace and the teacher was an email away if I wished anything to be clarified further.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: got a lot out of it.

Academic Experience: I really haven't met someone with my major. They all seem to just take these classes for Gen-Ed but for me this is my future.

Academic Experience: So far, the professors are great and they know what they are doing. The registration process went smoothly. My advice to you is, if you need help search for it. I am positive you can find it.

Overall Experience: Overall, It's okay. There hasn't been something that has taken my breath away, except for the computer labs. Honestly just get familiar with the school. If you need it, it's probably there.

Student Body: The student body at my school is great. I've been here for a little and I am mostly aware of the ongoing topics. I can not attend to them because of my schedule. They seem to know what they are doing,. They are very friendly and seem to accept diversity.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: AAVC is a community made for student to get in and out. Nothing more and nothing less.

Academic Experience: I like what I am doing. Everything is great. I've met people who want to do the same as I do.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: I like it. The school like I've said is pretty great. you only have to take advantage of the programs offered.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I like my school. I'm not totally fascinated by it but I like it. I know that I would enjoy it more if I get involved. Sadly, I don't have the time for it. My courses and professors are great and I like them. The class sizes are reasonable enough where you can get interaction and cooperation.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I didn't know I could get financial aid. I knew that the possibility existed. My high school talked about the process but didn't elaborate on it. They made us fill out applications and such but that was it. I was confused as to why I didn't receive it when a few weeks passed. So I went to the college FA line and the assistant was totally nice and she walked me through it. She told me I qualified and told me the documents need and the steps I had to take. I applied late and that's why it's taken time, but that's my fault not theirs.

Campus Resources: Now the resources on campus are amazing. I am a freshman and I already know most of the departments and how to utilize them to my advantage. There are workshops, tutorials and computer labs. Everything you need is there. If you do not take advantage of it, then that's your fault. But, again the resources are amazing. I've already attended writing workshops and soon I'll be going in for tutoring.

Student Body: The student body at my school is great. They are trying their best to keep students informed and to participate. I've been here for a bit and they seem to know what they are doing. If they do not actively seek you out they'll notify you by email about all the activities going on. Also, you can see it on the home page. I wouldn't say they are THE best but they are alright.

Online Courses: The online courses workout great sometimes but most of them are too slow or hard to make it work right.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I love my major but have yet to have a professor I can connect with and really learn.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: I enjoy the campus life, the scenery is great and it feels good meeting people pursuing their education. Recently I discovered that this school has been around much much longer than I had originally thought, and has a good reputation as well. Though I personally don't go to the football games, I do know that the football team here is popular and always has some of the best games in the A.V.
