3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Antelope Valley College is a great community college. It's a starting point to benefit your live. Education is power! I wish this school gave more bachelor opportunities. They do have a couple like nursing but that is a small portion from the rest of the students trying to continue there studies. Since this college is ever affordable, many students do not have the financial needs to go to an expensive university. They professors are there for the students. So far every teacher I had would help me with any problem even on there own time (lunch breaks or after school hours). They want each student to succeed and they give the students the grade they deserve from tests grades, homework, participation in lectures and labs. Antelope Valley College strides to help the community and fellow students by, handing out free food and drinks. They also have free tutoring most of the time unless it is a holiday. This college gives out many helping hands to conquer there tasks to receive a certificate or diploma. Now it just depends on how determinate do the students are to study and pass there courses.

Academic Flexibility: It was easy at first well overall it I easy. It's just hard and a lot trying to balance and get everything done.

4 College Freshman

Career Services: The faculty itself is very helpful.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: A lot of the courses were really great and so were the professors.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Degrees are very helpful and the school offers a lot of additional help.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I currently have a Business Administration major. I did have a Professional Bookkeeping major but I had to change it so my units would be transferrable. Overall I would like to be a CPA. AVC has some great business and accounting professors.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I like the school, the campus. Certain of the professors are amazing. Some of the students are very pleasant as well as some of the faculty. It's an easy experience at this school. I love it! And I like how CSUB is next door and offers an accounting program.

1 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: It is one of the hardest schools to get the classes you actually need. I depend on crashing classes more than actually registering for them.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: There are no post-grad services, this is a community college.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have had one professor who was very rude and sarcastic and did not want to help the students. He wouldn't really answer questions, he would talk around the question. On the other hand, I had a couple amazing teachers who did everything they could to help the students and make the subjects easier for us to understand.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I barely hear about anything going on with this specific degree. The communication on campus is below average.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I am completely my general ed right now, so I am unaware of the actual nursing program.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The school should provide more information to all students about resources.

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I am a student-athlete and this school offers a wide variety of different class times in order for me to schedule my classes around my practice and game schedule.

4 College Freshman

Career Services: I don't know how the quality is, considering i have only been attending this school for one semester.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There are a lot of different courses offered and since the classes aren't huge the professors actually acknowledge you and your not left out. They will help you if you need individual help.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There is a lot of job opportunities on campus as long as you actually look.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The workload is intense but its worth it. You learn everything you need to learn in order to advance in your career and as long as you study you should be fine.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: If i could go back to high school and re-pick what college i could go to, i would pick this same school again. Its close to home and it gives you an idea of what college is like without jumping straight into a university. You can get your general ed classes over with at a much cheaper price than at a university, and the professors actually help you. The classes aren't as big so if you need individual help some professors are willing to assist you instead of turning you away.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: This my first semester of college and it was great. I made many new friends and learned many things. I also like the fact that my school has help in mostly everything. For example, my school has tutors in every subject, many counselors to help keep you on track, and people who can help you find your way on campus. Overall My experience so far has been great and I am looking forward for the next semester.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I love the campus. All my life I had heard trash about AVC. They were all wrong! Its huge, great school, fun, everything I could ask for.

3 College Student

Overall Experience: Given that this is my first college, I think it is an ok school if you are just looking for cheaper tuition before heading to a four-year university. Just take the advice I have heard from others and don't waste your time, get your classes and graduate as soon as possible so you don't waste money.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The environment is very laid back and the teachers are great. Although the Automotive program is under funded and suffering and the administration often bumps heads with professors the college does great for what it is and very much appreciate its existence.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Antelope Valley College is a great college if you are going back to school or beginning college. The Professors are all genuinely invested and want our students to succeed. I suggest meeting with a counselor every semester to stay on track and learn of changes that involve graduation requirements. It is difficult to learn about clubs and activities if you do not check your email daily for updates.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Most of my professors after three semesters at this college have had a genuine want to help their students succeed. They don't just cop out, they really want you to do well and are willing to put in just as much work as you yourself are willing to put in to get there.
