5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There are a lot of different courses offered and since the classes aren't huge the professors actually acknowledge you and your not left out. They will help you if you need individual help.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There is a lot of job opportunities on campus as long as you actually look.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The workload is intense but its worth it. You learn everything you need to learn in order to advance in your career and as long as you study you should be fine.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: If i could go back to high school and re-pick what college i could go to, i would pick this same school again. Its close to home and it gives you an idea of what college is like without jumping straight into a university. You can get your general ed classes over with at a much cheaper price than at a university, and the professors actually help you. The classes aren't as big so if you need individual help some professors are willing to assist you instead of turning you away.

Academic Experience: This my first semester of college and it was great. I made many new friends and learned many things. I also like the fact that my school has help in mostly everything. For example, my school has tutors in every subject, many counselors to help keep you on track, and people who can help you find your way on campus. Overall My experience so far has been great and I am looking forward for the next semester.

Overall Experience: I love the campus. All my life I had heard trash about AVC. They were all wrong! Its huge, great school, fun, everything I could ask for.

3 College Student

Overall Experience: Given that this is my first college, I think it is an ok school if you are just looking for cheaper tuition before heading to a four-year university. Just take the advice I have heard from others and don't waste your time, get your classes and graduate as soon as possible so you don't waste money.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The environment is very laid back and the teachers are great. Although the Automotive program is under funded and suffering and the administration often bumps heads with professors the college does great for what it is and very much appreciate its existence.

Overall Experience: Antelope Valley College is a great college if you are going back to school or beginning college. The Professors are all genuinely invested and want our students to succeed. I suggest meeting with a counselor every semester to stay on track and learn of changes that involve graduation requirements. It is difficult to learn about clubs and activities if you do not check your email daily for updates.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Most of my professors after three semesters at this college have had a genuine want to help their students succeed. They don't just cop out, they really want you to do well and are willing to put in just as much work as you yourself are willing to put in to get there.

Overall Experience: The school is okay alot of work but it is worth it in the end

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Since this was my first year attending a college, I don't have much experience. What I do know is that I loved my instructors so far. They are great quality teachers who are dedicated to helping their students pass their classes, at least from my experience. Before I went to this college, I hadn't expected much from the teachers, since it's a community college. The environment was also different than what I was used to, but I found out that people are really friendly here, students and staff alike. I can't wait to start my sophomore year here!

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: It's not too great not too bad

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The location of the school is convenient for me but the school is too overcrowded.

Overall Experience: Very excellent music faculty. Knowledgeable in the subject. Very educated clarinet teacher, very pleasant to work with. Caring instructors

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: What makes the school pretty great are the professors; they're pretty much experts on their subject and are always available for assistance.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The college itself is fine. Many many students attend this college, so parking can be hard to find and the financial aid lines can seem like they're never moving. So far, in the classes I've taken I've had great and dedicated instructors.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: There is a pretty wide range of class times overall. However within disciplines, class availability can become a problem with only one or two classes offered for specific subjects.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: The school is good for my purposes now. I have yet to even graduate high school so I do not have much experience with colleges. I am not sure if i would choose the school again.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: There is a huge variety of courses offered but there are not always multiple teachers within subjects. There is only one astronomy teacher and up until Fall 2014, there was only one French instructor. The difficulty of the class totally depends on the teacher. Some teachers give reasonable workloads, some give completely unreasonable workloads, and some give no work at all.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Overall, the school is okay. It's not the best but it's also not the worst. Though the school only offers Associates degrees, it can still be beneficial. Even that can give you a job over someone who has no college degree at all.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: I have only taken one online class. Many online classes are hybrid classes though. This means students will meet with the teacher a couple times a semester usually for the first day, the midterm, and the final. The workload is pretty manageable but there is very little to no interaction with the teacher unless you go to their office hours.

3 College Senior

Student Body: The student body is pretty diverse. You get people from all over coming to take classes.

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: It does not cost much to go to this college. Most financial aid packages cover quite a bit and students often have leftover money. In the Financial Aid Office, they have many resources and people there to help you get all the financial aid you can.
