4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The career center on campus is extremely helpful and there is frequent college fairs on campus that lets everyone get a look at all the college options that are around. Many of the degrees offered at this school can be applied directly in Lancaster.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: If I'm able to apply early enough during the registration period, I can get pretty much all the classes I need by easily signing up online. Their is a lot of the same classes at different times of the day so I'm able to get whatever classes I need to work in my schedule.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Plenty of various resources on on campus and it's great. The student center is very large with lot's of helpful people and offices.

3 College Junior

Student Body: Antelope Valley College is located in Lancaster so it is not the highest class Junior college out there. People aren't really all that outgoing.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Majority was really great except for one professor, and class. Too large, and he was really rude

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: beware the teacher you pick. some have been known for spending the entire time talking about fairies; some are not good at keeping on task.

Academic Flexibility: it's okay as long as you are not an Honor's student. there is usually only one honor's class per subject area, and Honors option teachers are limited, too.

College Senior

Online Courses: have never taken an online class.

College Senior

Career Services: not very familiar with the field, but I will be.

College Senior

Student Body: I have no experience, nor am I familiar with the student body. I don't think I know anyone affiliated with that.

2 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: the school won't distribute financial aid until 2 weeks into the semester because of "skippers". and, your award is given out twice: one at the beginning of the semester, and the other half near the middle-end.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: you pretty much have to figure out your stuff on your own to get accurate information. the staff will yo-yo you around, and not all departments are helpful. you are expected to know it or figure it out.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I like the courses and most professors. The electives have been very eye opening and I have enjoyed the challenge of being at this level!

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: It's very interactive. The students are very excited to learn and it has been a wonderful experience being around others with my major.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: It could be a lot worse, but it could be a lot better too. I think the person who designed the website is burning in hell for it. The set up is confusing and you often get misdirected while trying to sign up for classes which is already a stressful process.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I did not know that not declaring a major would stop my financial aid (that needs to change. Not everyone knows they what they want when they're 17!) and it caused a bit of a hassle that I did not need. However my dad is a financial aid advisor for Pierce, so he made things go a lot smoother than I ever could have by myself.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: There are ups and downs. Nothing to really set it apart from other schools.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Unfortunately I have commitments that prevent me from any evening classes when I am at the height of my thinking. The online courses offered a bit of help in that area but I am still forced to complete the majority of my classes in a time where I am not fully there.

College Sophomore

Career Services: I haven't looked since I don't plan to be here after graduation

College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I have not met any.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: The group discussions were mandatory which seemed to force the conversation as people would only put their required number of posts and replies. However I liked learning at my own pace and the teacher was an email away if I wished anything to be clarified further.

College Sophomore

Career Services: Im not sure If Its offered at my community college, never heard of it

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: got a lot out of it.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I really haven't met someone with my major. They all seem to just take these classes for Gen-Ed but for me this is my future.
