Student Body: We have a very wide variety of people at Antelope Valley College, but they can be quite obnoxious. There are groups of kids who seem to only hang out in the quad all day long and poke fun of kids who are actually there to learn. It seems a lot like high school sometimes. But then again, there are the people who actually care about school and are excited and nice to others.

Academic Experience: The classes are all so different from one another and it keeps people interested in what classes they will be in each semester. I am definitely always excited to meet new people, professors, and learn new things each semester.

Academic Experience: As an English major, I actually do get to take a variety of courses to keep myself interested. I have to take quite a few English courses that I never would want to take if I had to choose on my own but it is a good thing and keeps me interested in the different aspects of my major. I am proud to be an English major at Antelope Valley College.

Academic Experience: The Academic experince works well for me because I resently found out tha I have a learning disablity with the help of my math teacher. She ad vised nme to go get testes and I did. And end the end when I went to the disablity office for ferther help they welcomedme with opem arms, and I was able to pass my math class with there assistance.

Academic Flexibility: They are very flexiable but you have to stay on top of things to make them work for you. Remember they are seeing you as an adult that takes care of their own responablities, so as long as you stay ahead of them it works out good for you.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The education that I am getting from them is well worth my money. Alot of the resources that are provided to you as a student are helpful, if you work with them they benifit you to come out on top. Even when you are feeling when you are at yiur wits end and having problems all you have to do is ask for help and the will provide it to the bes they can. Just dont give up. And at the end you walk away with your head held high with a degree in hand.

Campus Resources: the campus started small and with limited resources, but now as the campus grow with new buildings and more resources, students can now stay longer at campus to finish any work assign by professor, instead of going to the library or home where internet is open at any time...

Academic Experience: so far i have been in this campus for a semester and the academic experiences for me has been extraordinary. the professors so nice as to make the class fun and hard, but best of all with great understanding. the process of the most associating materials and paperwork with the school has been understandable and alright to complete, base on being in a college with college standards.

Tuition & Financial Aid: the financial aid is great to help many of those who go and ask for help. the problem is not having the correct requirements that blocks any students out form getting the help...

Academic Experience: the college has many kinds of classes to help me get started with my major. i am doubling major on math and computer science. math major's classes are there to complete but for computer science, i must transfer. the great thing about this campus is that it prepares me for the major with computers classes related to my major. over all an A for the classes there is open for us students and for the professors that makes the classes hard and fun at the same time.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid is great. Once you get become familiar with how the financial aid process works its fantastic.

2 College Senior

Academic Experience: My major is nutrition and food but the classes avc suggests for that are useless at four year universities.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I have no complaints. Many people do have trouble getting classes because of how many people there are at the school.

1 College Senior

Campus Resources: I can not get any wireless access at Antelope Valley College. For the four years I have been there the computers have failed on me.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I do not have to deal with ignorant students who do not want to be in class. I can go on my own and study what I have been given without any disturbance. The classes are straight to the point and are easy to follow.

3 College Freshman

Online Courses: I don't feel comfortable about taking online courses. They're much harder and need so much time put into it.

Career Services: The nursing program at my college is one of the best. So I'm happy I got the opportunity to attend here. When I went to the ER I asked a few RN's where they went and they told me they went to AVC, that they have the best nursing program. All good reviews. :)

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: If you feel that your not getting your money's worth just apply for financial aid which will surly cover the costs of the units you wish to take.

3 College Junior

Career Services: If you ask for help youll probably find it. The only problem is that everyone wants help at the same time and thats when there are long lines to see the counselors.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: they try to help out but they need guidance because they do not know what they are doing at all times.

Academic Experience: I'm a double major. Studying Social/Behavioral Science in Liberal Arts. The workloasd is sometimes overwhelming but absolutelty worth it. The classes are challenging yet very interesting so your engagement in the course is particularly high. The instructors I've had are very helpful and so are the councelors I've worked with on maintaining my ed plan for my associates in my majors. As far as Administrative Assisting, it is fairly easy. It basically sharpens your typical knowledge of the worforce, computers, computer apllications, typing, and business. Very important in every field.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I am able to work my schedule around my personal life without any problem

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Occasionally overcrowded computer labs and student centers which makes it difficult to access them. The best part about the campus is the new football field with turf installed, but apart from that everything is average.

3 College Junior

Career Services: In the career center at my school you are treated as just any old student that needs a quick word of advice that can be taken care of shortly. Not very helpful in my opinion.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: the college has not had a widely advaiable wifi service to conect to so that i am able to finish my school work as the computer labs are almost always full they used to offer this service for a price but even that seems wrong as we are paying a hefty amount just to attend the wifi sould be included for our usage
