Overall Experience: Very Nice, How Much? It is a really nice school with wonderful teachers and quite a bit more unity than expected. So far I have enjoyed my time here and have enjoyed my classes. The only downside I could give is that it probably doesn't do justice to the envisioned "college experience" because many people here are PSEO high school students or older adults or simply just stay for a year or two. But it is whatever you make of it and there are plenty of opportunities here.

Student Body: Very Diverse – Anoka-Ramsey Community College has a very diverse student body. There is students of all ages, gender, ethnic and so on. I prefer diversity because one can learn from another. The only challenge I have to diversity is that there has been times that I could not understand a few of my fellow students.

Campus Resources: Computer Labs – Being that I am going for my Associate in Fine Arts, I can only speak from the Visual Arts(VA) building. The computer labs in the VA are very nice and clean. I have never encountered an issue yet. The VA building is fairly new so the technology is still newer and quite reliable. I have my own laptop but I have not felt the need to bring it.

Campus Resources: Art Program – Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids has more classes available for art, along with scholarships. Also, it is close to home. But I like that it does not cost a fortune to attend, because many people change their minds during college. I really like that my school has a seperate building for Visual Arts, because it is less crowded and easier to get to class.

College Freshman

Career Services: I have not used any post-grad services at my school, I plan to attend a univeristy after I graduate high school.

Student Body: Going to this school I have met many new and interesting people. I have also met a few dangerous people, that I try to stay away from. There has been assaults near this school, bomb threats, and fires.

Overall Experience: PSEO Student – I am a PSEO student so I did not have much of an option where to go. Anoka Ramsey has its ups and downs. The administration and counselors are nice. I have had bad experiences with the teachers, tutors, and staff at the book store. I plan to attend a University once I have my generals completed.

Campus Resources: New art building which is nice but no one goes there unless you're in an art class. Weight room is a joke. Student center is nice, if there wasnt so many nerds playing wow in there. New gym will be finished next year but ill be gone by then.

Overall Experience: you meet cool people. I guess we went to nationals for soccer this year but no one knew or cared. lol typical c.c. experience. some cool teachers. others will fail you no matter how hard you try, check before you register. otherwise its an all right college

Student Body: They are very diverse and make a huge effort through various programs.

Online Courses: Online Enviroment – Overall I have been very satisfied with online classes. There is good communication between teachers and students, peer to peer interaction and opportunities etc.

Campus Resources: As an all online class student, I have found Anoka-Ramsey to have very good teachers who are experienced online teachers. They have the unique ability to make the online enviroment very much like a classroom.

Academic Flexibility: Educational Success – Anoka-Ramsey Community College provides very flexible class schedules to adhere to one's personal life. I have yet to have any frustrations with class/credits due in large part because there is a very strong membership of counselors to help students.

Overall Experience: This college is a great school to begin your post high school education. It is very cost effective, contains a great environment of student/faculty, plus it provides numerous student clubs to join into and meet new people. Anoka-Ramsey Community College is the best community college to attend in Minnesota

Online Courses: Online Education – Online activity greatly improves my education process, even in classes which are supplemented with online information - such as D2L. This supplement complements traditional class time by allowing further access to the information distributed during class time. I can revisit other information and instantly access study guides, for example.

Academic Experience: Integrative Health and Healing – I've found integrative health and healing to be the missing puzzle piece of my life, and I know that it will be a great addition to my nursing career. The IHH program at Anoka Ramsey is managed by faculty who are extremely supportive, helpful, and understanding.

Career Services: Not a Clue-Even Thought I'm Graduating in 8 Months! The advisor are very non-committal and not very helpful with finding my next school. They didn't have anything as far as recommendations for me.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Computer Speeds Are Not the Fastest. Computer labs can also be noisy and hard to print papers when 10 people are sharing the printer. Even though I have plenty of funds available for printing, it can be confusing when the papers print together for 3 people!

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: Women's Basketball Team – Number one in the nation-Even got to watch them win the National Championship in Rochester, MN last spring. I know many of the women on the team.

Online Courses: Know Your Learning Style! I took an accelerated summer online course, and I am in another online class this fall. I originally thought I would love the convenience of not having to drive to the school...but then quickly learned there is value to being 'face to face' with certain teachers with certain subjects! The teaching style and organization of the teacher and also the students primary method of learning are WISE things to look at when deciding to choose an online course. At Anoka Ramsey they have a great online forum called D2L that helps students keep track of their classes and assignments, and is user friendly for students to turn in work, check what's coming up, as well as checking your grades. For my online classes, I have to be very structured and set aside 'class time' or it can get away from me!

Tuition & Financial Aid: Overall the Financial Aid Office does a fine job, but in my case, the person who handles the Third Party Billing was not on top of things. This made purchasing necessary supplies and books for class much more difficult than it should have been. The rest of my financial aid package was straight forward and applied as it was intended to.

3 College Student

Campus Resources: I have not needed to use any resources on campus such as the library, the athletic center or attended campus activities. I have used the bookstore and the guidance area and both had very helpful people who helped me right away.

2 College Student

Academic Flexibility: Class Schedules – The class schedules are somewhat flexible. Some classes are only offered once a semester and that is difficult to work around. I have a very busy schedule and I had to pick some classes over others because they just did not fit into my schedule.

2 College Student

Overall Experience: I go to Anoka Ramsey for PSEO because I am still in high school. I think Anoka Ramsey is too small of a school for me, it is kind of unprofessional, and the age difference of students is really weird. It makes classes awkward because it is not just college age students, there are many adults too.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Computer Labs – The computer labs are usually packed during the fall and spring semesters. The computers are usually slow mainly due to the fact that you have a lot of people usuing the internet at once.
