College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have yet to transfer any credits to a four year institution.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: My experience with financial aid makes me not want to come back, but it's convenient and cheaper than a four year school, so I suppose that trumps the slow financial aid processing. The amount of people that smoke/use vape pens on campus is absolutely repulsing. Every time I look down there's a cigarette butt on the ground. And being sensitive to smoke, I often avoid walking around/through the quad. Some days I'm afraid I'll have an asthma attack just by walking to class.

Overall Experience: The professors are okay, some of them are amazing but there are a few that shouldn't be teaching.

College Junior

Overall Experience: I feel like in general, it is hard to get your foot in the door anywhere with just an associate's degree, but I also feel like getting an associate's from AACC would prove beneficial when transferring to a four year university.

College Junior

Online Courses: I have yet to take an online class.

4 College Junior

Student Body: I really like how diverse AACC is. Everyone is different in a different way whether it be by race, religion, economic, etc.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Sometimes I really don't think my education is worth the tuition, especially when my professors are not up to par. I also feel as if the financial aid office really takes their time with getting things done. I submitted my FAFSA in February and it still hasn't been processed. If it's not processed by a certain day, I can be dropped from all of my classes, which I really don't want. I think they could be a little bit more speedy in the processing department.

College Junior

Career Services: I haven't had much experience in this area. I would like to think that the career services at AACC would be great, but judging on how the administration is, I have my doubts.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Some of the courses seem like they would be a little to advanced for a community college setting, but the small class sizes counteract that, I guess. That makes it easier to ask for help. But some of the teachers are a bit arrogant and cocky, which makes me not want to take their classes. And some teachers just aren't very good teachers. They're nice people, but they don't have what it takes to be a professor.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I definitely think the classes/curriculum are spot on and challenging, but again, some of the professors just aren't professor material. The class registration process and the financial aid aspect of it could be a little better. Some of the administration that does scheduling can be really despondent and seem uninterested in helping students. That doesn't really do much in making me feel confident in my class selections.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: I feel like it's hard to find out what's happening on and off campus. There aren't any emails sent out about upcoming events or anything, so I feel like there are a lot of missed opportunities.

Campus Resources: I haven't enrolled at UMUC but I do enjoy the service I have gotten so far. It is a very affordable school and they accepted most of my transfer credits.

Academic Flexibility: I was typically able to schedule classes at convenient times, and the professors are willing to work around any situations that occur during the semester. When unable to attend class due to weather, professors are usually efficient about notifying via Canvas of the course of action for the class. When unable to attend class due to personal situations, professors typically let you take tests in the testing center, email work due to them, or turn in work at the next opportunity.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Overall, I think AACC is a great place to get an eduction. The courses, professors, and students all add up to a well-rounded experience.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The class sizes are typically great, and most of the professors attempt to know all of their students. There are lots of great class offerings.

College Senior

Overall Experience: I do not have sufficient information on the subject.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: The online course I took was easy to follow the syllabus and submit the work.
