Campus Resources: This is a very nice community college to attend and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Overall Experience: My experience with financial aid makes me not want to come back, but it's convenient and cheaper than a four year school, so I suppose that trumps the slow financial aid processing. The amount of people that smoke/use vape pens on campus is absolutely repulsing. Every time I look down there's a cigarette butt on the ground. And being sensitive to smoke, I often avoid walking around/through the quad. Some days I'm afraid I'll have an asthma attack just by walking to class.

Overall Experience: The professors are okay, some of them are amazing but there are a few that shouldn't be teaching.

4 College Junior

Student Body: I really like how diverse AACC is. Everyone is different in a different way whether it be by race, religion, economic, etc.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Sometimes I really don't think my education is worth the tuition, especially when my professors are not up to par. I also feel as if the financial aid office really takes their time with getting things done. I submitted my FAFSA in February and it still hasn't been processed. If it's not processed by a certain day, I can be dropped from all of my classes, which I really don't want. I think they could be a little bit more speedy in the processing department.

Academic Experience: Some of the courses seem like they would be a little to advanced for a community college setting, but the small class sizes counteract that, I guess. That makes it easier to ask for help. But some of the teachers are a bit arrogant and cocky, which makes me not want to take their classes. And some teachers just aren't very good teachers. They're nice people, but they don't have what it takes to be a professor.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I definitely think the classes/curriculum are spot on and challenging, but again, some of the professors just aren't professor material. The class registration process and the financial aid aspect of it could be a little better. Some of the administration that does scheduling can be really despondent and seem uninterested in helping students. That doesn't really do much in making me feel confident in my class selections.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: I feel like it's hard to find out what's happening on and off campus. There aren't any emails sent out about upcoming events or anything, so I feel like there are a lot of missed opportunities.

Online Courses: Teachers are flexible with you. The workload is pretty fair. There is still interaction between students so there is still a social experience. There is a open line of communication between students and teachers.

Student Body: People come to do what they have to do and leave. People are quite friendly as well. There is lots of diversity and you are accepted as you are.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Lots of money I found it easier to pay out of pocket.

Career Services: I haven't tried it out yet but there are many options and lots of carreer help

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: My major offers many class choices and a challenging curriculum. The workload is not that bad when you prioritize the time to get it done.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: Everything is online the workload can be hectic but the classes are worth it.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: I haven't enrolled at UMUC but I do enjoy the service I have gotten so far. It is a very affordable school and they accepted most of my transfer credits.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I was typically able to schedule classes at convenient times, and the professors are willing to work around any situations that occur during the semester. When unable to attend class due to weather, professors are usually efficient about notifying via Canvas of the course of action for the class. When unable to attend class due to personal situations, professors typically let you take tests in the testing center, email work due to them, or turn in work at the next opportunity.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Overall, I think AACC is a great place to get an eduction. The courses, professors, and students all add up to a well-rounded experience.
