Overall Experience at AmeriTech College - Draper: The professors have good relationships with their students, and are easily contacted through email, or even their personal cell phone number. The class sizes are pretty large, where in order to ask a question it should be really good if you're going to take up the time to ask it. But the professors do a great job and getting in all the information, and being easily contacted for any questions.

Overall Experience at AmeriTech College - Draper: We are all going to school to get our Nursing Degree so everyone has pretty much the same goal in mind, to work as a nurse. Others aspire to go further and attend school for other things, but basically everyone will be working as a nurse at the end of this program. The school has a high percentage rate of students being able to find a job after graduating.

Academic Experience at AmeriTech College - Draper: It requires a lot of time and effort. Our teachers recommend to study for 3 hours for every 1 hour of school. We are given a thorough outline of what needs to be done to prepare for class, and what is due in each class. The program is accelerated, I will have my Registered Nurse Degree in 18 months. They load you up with lots of work to do in a short amount of time, so you can get out there into the work field.

Overall Experience at AmeriTech College - Draper: I am fond of Ameritech College. They are fast-paced, keep us up to date with what we need to do, and dedicated to teaching there students to be ready for the work field. They are strict on a lot of rules, but for good reasons. With the strict rules, they teach to follow all rules, stay on task, and to be a trusted worker. They get you the knowledge you need, get you through school quick, so I wouldn't choose a different school if I could.

Overall Experience at AmeriTech College - Draper: Cost is quite high, but apparently worth it.

Academic Flexibility at AmeriTech College - Draper: What I hate is that the nursing program is NOT flexible. You are either in the day or the night program. If lets say, you want the day program, but can't take a 1 course due to work obligations and would like to take that course in the evening, NOT POSSIBLE. Your either completely in the day program or the evening. That for me was the only downside besides the tuition at Ameritech. They assign your schedules, god forbid you try to choose. But you do have the option of either the day or evening program.

Online Courses at AmeriTech College - Draper: I haven't had any online classes besides ATI, a program for nursing student that's extremely hard.

Career Services at AmeriTech College - Draper: There is a department specialized to help you with just that.

Overall Experience at AmeriTech College - Draper: The day program has the largest nursing class, usually in excess of 50 students and less than 70 students. The night program has smaller classes usually about 15-20 students. The instructors there are all qualified, and always eager to explain and teach whenever a student needs help. Most of the teachers there are graduates of University of Utah, and BYU. And most if not ALL, have years and years of experience to share and integrate.

Overall Experience at AmeriTech College - Draper: One word, PLENTY. I was a 3rd semester student, when I heard a couple of 5th semester students (that's the last semester of the nursing program) compare and contrast which jobs they were going to accept and which ones they were going to deny. That being said, they had jobs even BEFORE graduating!

Academic Experience at AmeriTech College - Draper: Our Nursing program makes up the most students at Ameritech College. They just finished it's new construction a few years ago. The course workload can be quite stressful, but then again, it's Nursing school! Our clinicals range from nursing homes to hospitals. About 75% of our student do their clinicals at Intermountain hospitals. And their job placement is at 98%. No joke.

Overall Experience at AmeriTech College - Draper: This school really makes sure it's students learn and excel. The teachers are more than happy to assist anyone asking for help or struggling. There is ALWAYS someone available to answer any question or concern you have. And lastly, their nursing program is extremely challenging, with NCLEX pass rates usually in the top 3 in Utah.

Academic Flexibility at AmeriTech College - Draper: This is where I've had a lot of frustrations with the school. When applying they promise to accept multiple transfer credits, then they'll slowly back out and say they can't accept them (more $). They change dates/requirements all the time, and they're not flexible with work schedules. You can't miss more than 1 day per class, and just 3 tardies counts as an absence. Get sick twice in a semester? You're screwed.

Overall Experience at AmeriTech College - Draper: It's a great school for a small trade school. Teachers genuinely care about the students, and the clinical rotations are awesome. If I had to do it again, though, I might go with a more stream-lined university despite the waiting list to save money and have the organization larger schools offer. This school gets disorganized at times- they change dates and requirements all the time, scheduling is slow, and it's extremely expensive. But for the speed of the program, you're probably not going to find a better option!

Overall Experience at AmeriTech College - Draper: Coursework is understandable given how difficult the NCLEX is. The school is very focused on helping students learn how to be ready for the test, and the pass rate is still above 95% I believe.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience at AmeriTech College - Draper: The school has great faculty, and it's pretty good with skills teaching. Job prospects are good, clinical rotations are in great hospitals, and the NCLEX pass rate is extremely high. It's super expensive though- so much so that idk if I could ever honestly recommend it to anyone. Not to mention they've been rather disorganized lately while trying to expand their programs and location (i.e. make more money), so sometimes it feels like they care more about prospective students than current ones. If you can handle the financial aid, though, this is one of fastest tracks to an RN license you can find, and overall it's a pretty good experience.

Online Courses at AmeriTech College - Draper: There are no strictly online courses in the program, but it does use ATI (online nursing program) for tests, homework, and skills videos. The site is pretty accurate in material, but it goes down a lot. Some classes (like pharmacology) overuse the program and could be offered online without requiring in-class lectures, but they don't..

Student Body at AmeriTech College - Draper: A student body council exists, but not many get into it. There is a decent amount of diversity (for Utah anyway), and people are pretty accepting.
