Tuition & Financial Aid: I have been able to use my military tuition assistance to help with my school through a very easy process. Whenever I had a question the people at the university have always been helpful and quick to respond.

Academic Flexibility: I have been able to transfer both classes that I've taken from other universities as well as credits earned from my military training. I have been able to transfer over 30 credit hours total for my degree and it has been a great help.

Career Services: I believe my school has a great post-grad program.

Academic Experience: Was just accepted last week.

Campus Resources: Application process was smooth along with building an academic plan to fit my field of study. Made it easy compared to my undergraduate where I spent countless hours planning out each class and when I would take it.

College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Haven't gone through a full online class yet. This will make or break the school for me as it is 100% online.

Career Services: I am a brand new applicant, have yet to start my first class, I am filling this form out to be entered into scholarship drawings.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: I haven't had much experience with career services.

Online Courses: The online courses vary in quality, with required courses being subpar and major courses excellent.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The FA office is fairly competent but there are occasionally some delays.

Career Services: American Public University have online job fairs twice a year where every major company attends to look for employees. The career center which is also located online are available to help its students with the resume process as well. There are also free seminars through the year that helps you with every aspect of the job search. I think that it is a wonderful tool for all students and alumni.

Tuition & Financial Aid: So far the financial aid process has been the best experience I have had, compared to other institutions I have attended. Tuition seems a bit high at first, but considering that other universities charge as much and even more per year than the entire degree costs here, it is an awesome deal for a great education. The costs are all laid out and there are no additional fees other than a $50 technology fee per class. Plus most books are included in the price of tuition; although there is the option of buying hard copy books as the books that are provided are in e-book format.

Student Body: The Student Body is probably the best I have experienced with one of the greatest diversity I have experienced.

Academic Flexibility: I did have transfer credits before attending this school and all of my credits transferred with the exception of the few classes I took at a vocational school; but I was already sure they would not grant me those credits. When transferring credits, I was advised to take classes I have not taken before to prevent taking a class I could possibly receive credit for. So I took classes I knew I had not fulfilled yet that did not have any specific prerequisites.
Most instructors I had were quite flexible when it comes to assignments or make-up assignments; however, most instructors also provide information for big projects or essays at the very beginning of the course to allow students enough time to complete them. If something does "come up," depending on the situation, course extensions through the school are available. For the most part, instructors are quite flexible as long as the communication is good between them and the student (from personal experience). The only thing that does not hold such flexibility are the tests and quizzes.

Overall Experience: This school is unique in that it has a great Student Body that is represented by a wide variety of people, cultures and personalities. At first I was a bit hesitant about attending an all online school, but this school really does challenge me in many areas. This is NOT a diploma mill, not by any means; and that is what I love about this school. The instructors, the instructors I have had so far anyway, have been great and the communication between instructors and myself has been on par for the most part. When issues did arise, they have been solved in a fairly quick manner.

Career Services: APUS has online events in which students can connect with prospective companies and check out possible career options for their relevant majors. Students can also ask questions on their Facebook page and receive feedback and guidance from other students and admins.

Campus Resources: Considering that APUS is an all online university, it has great resources for students. Their library access consists of a wide variety of books, peer-reviewed journals, editorials, videos and even librarians who can helped with locating specific contents. At first the library is a bit confusing, but after using it on a regular basis it is especially helpful with the upper-level classes.
The school also has a variety of Organizations, including nationally accredited Honor Societies tailored towards different majors and fields; which can be accessed through the "Quad." The Quad is an area where students can communicate and network through various forums and organization pages.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: These topics do not necessarily apply to APUS, as it is an all online school.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I did all my financial aid online myself. The price is fantastic. I was approved for more than what the school costs so I'll see some extra money coming my way that I can use to pay down my undergrad loans that are a higher interest. Worked out well for me.
