Online Courses: Typical class size, class options are fine, in-class tech and workload is fine.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I have not tried to transfer credits so I am unsure of the process.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Mostly military students which I like. Classes are only 8 weeks long, another bonus. All online, awesome. Definitely not friendly service. Friendly service is actually helping the students with issues and not passing them along without answers until they get so tired of asking for help they just want to give up.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The application process was easy, of course. They want the money. After you are enrolled though, you are nothing to them.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Classes are beyond outdated, some professors can hardly speak english enough to actually help the students and the administration is awful about helping their students succeed.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Some of the professors are absolutely amazing! I also love that the school is entirely online which is incredibly convenient for me. My biggest issues are their financial aid department, and their lack of adequately updating their coursework.

First - I missed three...THREE months of school, because the financial aid department would not update my FAFSA award despite me doing everything as I was supposed to, on my end. They did nothing to remedy their massive mistake.

Second - Their class - ISSC342 - Operating Systems: Hardening and Security - is so incredibly outdated, that literally all of the information they are teaching about, is moot. It does not relate anymore and it will help zero students with anything unless they want to teach about the ancient history of OS hardening and security...which was not supposed to be the point of the class.

I have emailed so many employees of this school about their outdated courses and either I was ignored by the higher ups, or I got told that they (the employees - i.e - professors, academic advisors, etc.) had no idea what was going on with it and they never went to remedy the massive issue.

Other than that HUGE issue and WASTE of MONEY - I like the convenience of having an online school.

Academic Flexibility: AMU is as convenient as you would like to make it. They have solutions to problems most students have. In my honest opinion, most students don't look for the answer and have problems because they were too lazy to look at the resources provided.

5 College Senior

Online Courses: Studying online has been one of the greatest roads I have ever taken. I feel confident in explaining myself and my ability to read, review, analyse material.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: I have had plenty of unique experiences with professors at AMU. In my organizational behavior class we had an intense discussion on motivation theory. Our professor was able to point out how to become a better manager in the workplace by understanding these simple principles. AMU has the same courses every other online school offers. They also have many programs that you wouldn't find at the normal brick and mortar university.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: I haven't look at career prospects at this point. There is a big discussion online about the negative stigma of online degrees. I personally feel like they are mostly wrong. Sure people can do little and still pass the class, if you plan to get a job in the field you are studying it's best you understand the material.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: In the Marketing program at AMU they give us the opportunity to come up with our own ideas. Many times the ideas wouldn't work in real life applications however, they are good about explaining why concepts could or should be altered. The workload is intense if you are serious about learning. The curriculum is intimidating and could be overwhelming if you don't stay on top of the scheduled course work and assignments.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I have had a great experience at AMU. One of the most important skills in life is communication. The course work at AMU requires us to explain ourselves in writing, this is a skill set that doesn't come easy. It took hard work and dedication on my part to communicate effectively. This skill was acquired by taking class online at AMU. My professors have always explained why I made mistakes and what needs to be done to fix them in the future. I'm very grateful for the help from the professors at AMU.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: It's very well put together.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: The workload was acceptable at my level. I have friends in the lower bachelors programs that have been able to wok and complete their degrees in a timely fashion.
