Student Body: While the entire program is online, the interaction between the students online and by phone is a great support channel enabling the student to become more independent and stronger to achieve their goals. Students come from all walks of life which helps each student to gain a greater amount of knowledge of different cultures and life styles. Students also learn that they must get their own drive going by contacting other students without having an instructor tell you.

While AIU Online is a school designed for every type of student, there are a very large amount of working mothers and fathers enrolled.  Other individuals spend most of their week working full-time jobs. That being said, don't assume that the entire student body falls into these categories. The minimum age requirement at AIU Online is 18, and there is no maximum age of attendance, so you'll find students in all stages of life.

One of the beauties of AIU Online is the fact that there are really no minority groups. The average student is not of a certain race, religion, sexual orientation, background, or economic class. Such a high level of diversity means there's a wide range of knowledge, experience, and culture for students to enjoy.
