Academic Flexibility: Sometimes in the assignment descriptions it will say not to format a paper in APA format or to format it for APA format and your professor will count you off points for not formatting or formatting in APA. I don't think the teachers always read the assignment descriptions that students are given.

Academic Flexibility: The classes are flexible because of the online experience. The only trouble I had was when my mother passed away. I was told at first that I could not take any time off. I ended up getting through it just fine on my own.

Academic Flexibility: Sometimes Live chats were in the morning and since I worked in the morning I could not attend. It is not required to go to live chats. Live chats are recorded so it helps to watch them when available, but there is not interaction with teacher and students.

Academic Flexibility: Getting frustrated with a bad grade I got on a paper because I spent a lot of time on the paper and got a D on it. I think it should have been a B or C.

Academic Flexibility: Everyone is a team. No one person lacked doing their job making sure all the documents, information sessions, and other financial plans were completed.

AIU Online provides a very high level of academic flexibility compared to other leading online schools. The administration at this college has gone out of its way to create options for students. Custom-made schedules are generated based on what each student needs, and this schedule can be changed at a student's request. As of 2010, students can change their program pace as well, even after starting classes.

AIU Online is one of the best colleges to attend if a student has flexibility needs.  The staff has worked hard to create a balance of rules and requirements for each student, so that almost anyone, anywhere, and at any time may attend and graduate from this university.  Having a full time job and children is possible for students that attend AIU Online.
