Campus Resources: I rate American InterContinental University an A+ because everything I need for is right there at the virtual campus. My advisors, Financial Aid, Tech Support, or any department I need is available to assist me with any of my needs as well as motivate me to progress further in my education.

Campus Resources: So far I have not had any problems connecting to the school, having a personal computer is a must have due to the fact that I am a online student. I have been able to get a hold of everybody I need to if I am having problems or issues.

Online Courses: I am one who appreciate the online experience. Being a mature adult I perfer online. Once I did try to go to a traditional College, and I felt so out of place. I did not get the connection with the Professor or student advisors. I felt rushed to complete my assignment and everyone was moving fast. Unlike the online experience, I never had such a great connection from the student advisor to tech support. I work at my own pace and I have a week to complete my assignment. My peer to peer interaction was none at the traditional setting due to my age, but online it a whole different world of learning, and I love it. I do not believe that I would have gotten this far if I was in a traditional setting, online is amazingly great, and it works for me.

Student Body: The Student Body at American InterContinental University are an amazing group of people. When I was a freshman I befriend one of the student body members and without him encouraging me not to give up, I would not have made it this far. It takes a special person to be a part of the student body, I call them Angels.

Campus Resources: The Library link at AIU-Online gives me all of the resources that I need to type a paper effectively without plagiarizing any of the sources that I used. The Library link has given me the tools to write and state my own point of view for my classes and my daily activities.

Campus Resources: One of the unique things that American InterContinental University have is there AIU success center located in downtown Chicago. Not only does it give full access to the students for using computer terminals, they allow students to print off their e-books for upcoming classes. AIU also have social mixers to allow students meet with AIU Alumni, other students and alliances to network and get idea from other people on how to advance in their career. AIU also offers meeting space for students who need to meet for social gatherings. A student can set time a space available to meet if they are in social organizations, book clubs, community clubs. The best part about this school is the staff here at the AIU Success Center, has worked diligently to help me transition to get all the information I need about my financial aid, schloarships information, and so much more.

Online Courses: I was excited about taking online courses. The reason I was so excited about taking online courses is, you work at your own pace, there are no interruptions, versus being in classroom with students who are not as focused on the subject that the instructor is teaching, if I am having a problem with a lesson in my class, I can simply email my instructor with my concern, and she will email me back in less than 48hours. This stratergy has allowed my to have more than enough to focus on my home, my family, and I can even have a social life.

Academic Experience: The only thing that I wish our school had would be an association with a HBCU sorority. Other than that I think everything else is on point. They have a virtual campus that allows us to particiapte in forums and clubs that we find of interest. There are a vast variety of options to receive assistant, tutoring, and information. Registration for AIU is easy and painless.

Academic Experience: I major in Visual Communication -Web Development and it is not at all as I expected. The classes up until this point were interesting but easy. They definitely saved the good stuff for last. All my courses were or are relevant to my degree (although at first it did not appear that way.) The workload is getting more intense which makes time and planning my top priorities. I really enjoy my sessions and and the intructors.

Academic Experience: I am currently seeking my degree in business administration in healthcare. Everything is virtual, not only do you have your e-books and each class so far offers the additional or outline of the course for each week. The workload is not bad at all, however, it is very serious and can take up most of your time. Attending or always reviewing the class sessions given by the instructor is very helpful. The discussion board assignments are great as well, it gives you an opportunity to meet different people with same/similar/different interest. I have not yet experience the intership process yet.

Campus Resources: I have to be honest, the school is very resourceful with tutoring options, library tools and career center meetings with helpful tips to obtain a successful job. I have to also add the instructors that have availability to help you understand the course. You really can not fail unless you do not turn in your assignments.

Academic Experience: My major is criminal justice with a concentration in forensic science. I only have about six semesters left, so the classes seem to be getting more challenging which I love. There is a great deal of research required to complete both the discussion boards and the individual projects which are done in APA style. My ethical dilemma class really causes me to think hard about what I would do is various situations. The workload is what you make of it; just don't wait until the last minute to do your work and you will be fine.

Online Courses: In the beginning, I had no idea what to expect from an online university. AIU is professional and helps the student(s) from the beginning with the enrollment process up until the last few quarters when career services contacts you because you are about to graduate. Help is never more than a phone or chat away. I have been able to sit at home all hours of the day or night and complete weekly assignments to my satisfaction.

Academic Experience: The courses are relevant to the degree plan. The amount of work is not overwhelming. The staff is responsive and proactive in helping students achieve. The amount of time given to complete assignments is too short.

Tuition & Financial Aid: It is a private school so the fees are astronomical compared to public school but because of the schedule and registration process I think it is a convenience fee. I would love for the fees to reduce so I would not have oo much to pay at the end.

Student Body: They are mostly friendly and customer service oriented. They do try to get back with you as soon as possible. Sometimes the notes in the system are not updated or missing information.

AIU Online is enjoyed by students that have a variety of diverse schedules, backgrounds, and career goals. The school is a wonderful choice for those that want an accredited college degree but have limited mobility and heavy time constraints. The Instructors here are well prepared, enthusiastic, and eager to broaden the minds of their students. At AIU Online, many peers turn into friends, teachers into mentors, and students into scholars.
