Academic Experience: I have just enrolled to go to AIU. I start classes July 22. From what i can tell without taking classes yet they have set the classes up where u would take one or two classes at a time. That way your workload would not be to much on you. I think that the curriculum is about average. But i do know that anytime i have any problems or questions there is always someone there to help me.

Campus Resources: What sets my school apart from other schools is that I can take my classes online. i don't have to be in a classroom at a certain time. I have can do my school work at anytime as long as i have it in at a certain time. I can log in to my classroom and do my work at my convenience. I'm a very busy single mom and i wouldn't be able to go to school unless it was for a college online like AIU.

Campus Resources: The computer network seems to be having problems on occasion. I am taking online classes and there have been a few times when I couldn't access a live chat because of network issues. Also, when it comes to turning in work on time, the network has been down twice when my work was due so I had to get an extension.

Academic Flexibility: Transferring credits was not an easy task. Getting the addresses of all the schools that I have attended and learning what they needed to before they would actually transfer the credits became a hurdle to overcome. Then finding out that not all credits would be accepted was crushing. All the work you accomplished and learning you would have to do it all over again, can be a stressful moment. Talking with the administration and explaining the classes you took can help as it did with my case! They did not have the actual syllabus that was given out in the class only a generic one that is given out on their website.

Campus Resources: The university just upgraded to a new system of online learning and they are still working out all the bugs. Sometime you have problems entering the classroom or you are kicked out and must re-enter to continue. Can be annoying if you are trying to post or just reading the other posts. The online books can also be bothersome if you don't have an online connection. This school requires you to always be online to read your books, they do not allow you to download them at any time.

Campus Resources: AIU Computer Network – There is a virtual campus that has all the bells and whistles of any current university and you can get to it all from your chair. The learning labs are wonderful, so is the technical support and both available 24/7.

Academic Experience: I am a business major at AIU Online and find the academic experience to be overall excellent. A recent platform update has caused a ripple of discontent but it will settle down as bugs in the system are identified and addressed. The resource tools available are excellent and the support help in all areas is as well.

Academic Flexibility: This is an amazing school. I just started this month, the enrollment process couldn't have been easier. I was always able to contact someone if I had questions and they checked in with me periodically to see if I had any questions or to let me know the status of my transfer credits, financial aid, and everything else that I could possibly want to know. It's online so it is very flexible. I chose my program and they scheduled my classes, I have the whole week to complete those assignments for class. They have been great about helping with with financial aid and setting up payment plans. I could not ask for a better experience.

AIU Online is enjoyed by students that have a variety of diverse schedules, backgrounds, and career goals. The school is a wonderful choice for those that want an accredited college degree but have limited mobility and heavy time constraints. The Instructors here are well prepared, enthusiastic, and eager to broaden the minds of their students. At AIU Online, many peers turn into friends, teachers into mentors, and students into scholars.
