Campus Housing

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Alverno's dorms are generally bigger than the average college dorm. It's a lot more spacious and you're able to customize it.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: Very cleanly and pleasant indoor and outdoor environment.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Living on campus at Alverno College is great. I live on the second floor of Austin Hall and we are the volunteer wing. So far this year we lead a bake sale where all of our proceeds were donated to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital, and we also volunteered at a hospital in Milwaukee where we organised and folded clothes for children and families in need.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: I think the cost was way too much for living on campus.

5 College Student

Campus Housing: I would say the atmosphere of alverno is very welcoming and friendly. Everyone you come in contact with is very nice and is so friendly. Alverno is a very clean and beautiful place with lots of color and beautifully designed. I personally don't live in the dorms but I stayed overnight for orientation and it wasn't so bad. It was great quality.

The dorms at Alverno are extremely spacious and have high ceilings and large windows. The rooms in Austin Hall all have built-in shelving units, drawers, spacious closets, and a sink accompanied by shelves and cupboards, so students do not have to bring as much of their own furniture or storage containers. Rooms also come equipped with cable and Internet hookups, as well as a microwave and mini-fridge—for no extra charge. Austin Hall is a community, and students from all different years live together on wings.

Living on campus is quite convenient and is not just for students who are right out of high school. Clare Hall offers students of all ages a place to live that still gives them freedom, as well as the convenience of living on campus. Some downsides to living on campus are that there's no air conditioning, less freedom if you live in Austin Hall, and you live with women all day, every day.
