Drug Safety: Not Sure – I'm really not sure because I don't stay on campus so I don't know what the campus life is like here.

Guys & Girls: Girls Only – There are only girls on this campus which make it easier to focus in class. It is also better for us to voice our opinions without the male point of view being around all the time.

Campus Quality: Teachers and Staffs – The teachers and staff are amazing. They help the students when ever they have a problem and is always pushing the students to achieve at their absolute best.

Transportation: The good thing about Alverno is that it is on a bus line and it's convenient.

Parking: Finding parking at Alverno is bad. It takes 10 minutes to find parking. By the time you find parking, you are late to class.I believe Alverno needs more parking lots or another structure.

Local Area: Feel Comfortable – There are a lot of different types of people at Alverno, so no matter what "group" you're a part of, or what your interests are, you'll feel comfortable here.

Campus Quality: You feel like you belong at Alverno. The students and staff are very friendly and they treat you with respect and dignity...as a person should; you're even on a first-name basis with the faculty. There are no grades, it's a level system with validations and such. Small class sizes and a lot of activities on campus as well. I love it, it's a great school.

Weather: From a Commuter – I drive from home everyday to school. Weather conditions in the winter time in Wisconsin can be brutal. It can be difficult to drive and classes are not easily cancelled. Around campus they are very good about keeping the sidewalks and roads clean from snow.

Drug Safety: Under Control – Drugs are not a large part of our atmosphere at school. We are definately not the traditional college where there are parties every night, or even during the weekends. We are a very quiet facility and the only time I have ever heard about the use of drugs was to cram for a test. I have never attempted this act but have heard girls have taken things such as aderol. Drinking is not a problem here either. We like to keep to business.

Greek Life: What's Greek? I am aware that we have one sorority, I have no idea what the name of it is. I know of no one who is involved in the sorority and have never heard of events held by the sorority. It is unfortanate. I remember as a freshman I saw a sign for the sorority and thought that it would be neat to join, but the soon the sign was gone and I don't remember hearing about the sorority ever again.

Technology: Alverno needs to update computers there is not enough to for all students a lot of nursing student are using them and others are not able to get one. They built a nursing campus so they should have them in the building along with computers for the nursing students.

Overall Experience: Small College – very easy to focus here and alot help and support.

1 College Sophomore

Administration: Alverno has many silly rules that students like the break. They are strict about quiet hours and being in the dorm hallways.

2 College Sophomore

Party Scene: There are very few parties on campus. For a fun nightlife you have to go to bars and find your own parties.

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: Since Alverno is located in Milwaukee, there are many things to do around campus. You really have to leave campus to do anything fun since it is such a small campus. Miller Park is only a few miles away along with restaurants and shopping.

2 College Senior

Athletics: Were division 2 or 3. Ive never gone to any sporting event, nor will I ever.

4 College Senior

Diversity: There is a wide variety of ethnic diversity and sexual orientation. Its an all girl school. Very accepting. Lots of clubs for a variety of ethnic origins.

1 College Senior

Campus Food: The Food is terrible and overpriced. You get a discount for having a mealplan and using your ID card for purchase, but for those who dont live on campus without a mealplan, its expensive.

Overall Experience: I was delightfully surprised – Even though I had no idea what Alverno was about when I initially came here (ability-based grading system, no boys) I was delightfully surprised. Alverno has helped me become a well-rounded citizen who looks at the world, as well as themselves, in a reflective light instead of judging what everyone does.

Overall Experience: I love Alverno. The teachers/staff/faculty are very inviting and down to earth. The classes are challenging, but nothing that you cannot pass if you set your mind to it! I cannot say that I would want to be anywhere else because each place offers something new and different to experience. I do enjoy being at Alverno and I am glad I made the decision to come here.

Overall Experience: Annoying rules, great friends, small classes – I'm not gonna lie, there are times when all I can think is 'why the heck did I ever pick Alverno??!!' In either my experience or the experiences of close friends, they [Alverno] often have tendencies to not publicize certain rules/regulations very clearly, if at all, which really makes you hate them when these rules are applied to yourself and you didn't even know they existed! However, in the long run, I've made some amazing friends here and I still love the small class sizes and I like the majority of my teachers. It's a very open and interactive environment, which is amazing.

Overall Experience: Small classes and unique grading system are great – Alverno's alternative ability based curriculum and small classes were the reason I chose to attend school here, and the kind professors and challenging education are the reasons I stay. I am so glad I chose to live on campus as the convenience of living five minutes away from class is unbeatable, and the programs hosted and friends met here are absolutely phenomenal. I look forward to another wonderfully challenging semester full of public speaking and self-assessments.

Overall Experience: Choosing Alverno College was one of the best choices I've made. I know that when I graduate in May, 2009, I will be prepared to interview for jobs and make a strong first impression on employers. Alverno has helped me to grow into a strong, independent woman.

Overall Experience: Unforgettable experience – I love Alverno and I am glad that I made the choice to overcome my boy crazy mind. Going to school here you never really realize there are not guys in your classes and that for the most part the only males you see are the faculty and staff. It is a great school and the personal relationships that you gain with your instructors are amazing because you get the help you need and you are more than just a number. Our campus is really nice and home like and it just makes you feel comfortable. The grading system is really nice because you get to show what you know in many ways and you are not just simply taking in information and spitting it back out through multiple choice tests. It is an experience that is unforgettable and I honestly would not trade it for any other college life.

Overall Experience: I have really enjoyed my years at Alverno. Now that graduation is approaching, I am reflecting more on where I started and where I am today. Alverno has really helped me understand who I am and what's important to me. I feel that if I would have attended a bigger university I would not have had the opportunity to explore some of my interests to the extent that I have here at Alverno.
