3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Pretty good getting financial aid, just depends on how much you or your parents make that defines the amount.

2 College Sophomore

Greek Life: There is no greek life but there is group you can sign up for, but they aren't advertised good.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Safe inside the campus but sometimes outside of campus at night isn't a good idea to walk alone.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: They challenge you intellectually and enforce communication, along with speaking up.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: Attendance is a big thing that's really enforced and they are strict on. also drugs use is prohibited, as well as cigarettes on campus grounds.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: There are many programs and opportunities.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I don't have a program but one i thought about participate in was working with horses. That seems really interesting and fun.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The dorms are okay, but they could be better when it comes to maintenance and technology things.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Spots are a big part of campus life. it's not just about the sports but the people and how hard they work along with meeting new people and having fun.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: It's really diverse and accepts everyone of any race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It is an all girls school with a grading system based on overall performance, not grades. The teachers form a bond with their students, taking the time to help improve their knowledge and make corrections on homework. There are no grades; it's all about meeting specific classroom criteria.

Transportation: Most students live on campus or commute to school, taking their own cars, carpooling, or taking the city bus. There are bus stops nearby, with safety a top priority and campus security waling students there and back. Parking is abundant on the street, parking lots, and even a parking structure. The rest of the campus is all connected with underground tunnels, so there is no need for on campus shuttles.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I received a great deal of help from peers at my school and the financial aide staff. There was always someone available to answer my questions, and they respond to phone calls and emails in a timely manner.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are pizza joints for take-n-bake, dine in, or delivery that are open late, perfect for study sessions. There are coffeehouses on campus as well as off, also offering breakfast options like bagels and pancakes. There is a phenomenal ice cream shop within walking distance of the school, serving a variety of flavors.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Many students commute to campus from their homes. The off-campus housing is mostly affordable, with abundant street or garage parking. It is near shopping centers, like a mall, Target, and strip malls, and also near many popular restaurants. There is fun night life, like a movie theater and bowling alley, plus a library for school work. It is also very safe, with police doing rounds in the neighborhoods quite often.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Drugs or alcohol are not used at all on campus, and if it is it isn't noticeable at all. The school doesn't tolerate even smoking on campus

Campus Quality: Student life on campus is overall pretty good, there's access to many different things

2 College Freshman

Campus Quality: The school isn't very unique the only unique things about it is the fact that it is an all girls school and the grading system is different then most schools

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I haven't had any experience with the health services so I wouldn't know anything about the quality of the service. The safety on campus however is really good, officers/security are always visible, making the campus feel much more safe.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: The city that the college is located in is a lot busier and populated than the city I am originally from so it's harder for me to get around, because I've only been there a semester I'm still learning.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial aid process is a very east process. The people are extremely helpful and are always willing to help.

3 College Freshman

Technology: The computer availability around the entire campus is really good, bringing a laptop isn't necessarily a necessity because of the availability of computers. The wireless access and speed however is extremely poor. Living in the dorms is irritating at times because of that.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Overall housing at the college i attend is okay, it's not great but it isn't bad either. It is pretty clean most of the time and very spacious but it is boring at times

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I love Alverno. When I walk across the stage in two semesters it will be one of the proudest moments in my life. Yes it may not be a party school and parking is limited but the education you receive by far exceeds anything else. Alverno is known for results and is of the best educations in the Midwest, so everyone complaining about all the petty little things, maybe you need to transfer.

4 College Senior

Parking: The parking at Alverno is close but limited. With a campus only a block big what the heck do you people expect?
