3 College Junior

Greek Life: I am not in any of the Greek clubs but they are available and open to all.

3 College Junior

Parking: The parking is free and it's not too far from where classes are held, way better than the bigger universities.

4 College Junior

Administration: Pretty strict when it comes to the important things.

3 College Junior

Local Area: Need more things to do and restaurants closer to campus.

College Freshman

Greek Life: We don't do anything with Greek life? Not any that i have heard of .

2 College Freshman

Majors: Its so bad that i'm not even in my program yet i'm not even on the list because i had to go back to some general education credits that they did not inform me that i had to do .

College Freshman

Majors: I am not in my program yet because of lack of communication within the school and myself.

Drug Safety: A lot of students come high to class and smell like drugs and alcohol. Many students also throw up of feel sick because of drugs and alcohol. Also if you don't do it many people may look at you weird, but they wont press you on the issue anymore which is nice because i hate being peer pressured .

Weather: It is horrible! parking is horrible since it is in a busy city and when its cold or rainy or really hot you have to walk about six blocks just to get to one side of the campus . The campus is not close to anything and the weather sucks most of the time in Wisconsin.

1 College Freshman

Athletics: No one really cares about the sports at my school. I personally haven't been to or even heard about a sporting even .

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I like my school and what it has to offer , most of the time. i would not however if i had a second chance go tot his school.it was because i financially could not get into a better place, not because my grades weren't good. I have taken some classes and really liked the and made some new friends. they have a good tutoring if you know the right person to take to.

Off-Campus Housing: It is horrible and it is in crime infested areas. I would never want to live there and often the house and apartments re rundown and have rodent problems.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: There are many bars to go to on water street. they are all in walking distance and it has good service and friendly people. They are very strict about the underage drinkers that try to get in which is wonderful and everyone always has a great time .

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: They have very good food for cheap ! Also they have a lot of variety and different foods on different days. And if you do not wish to eat in the cafe , then you can go down the street to jimmy johns, buffalo wild wings and many other great food places and local favorites.

3 College Freshman

Campus Quality: Lots of room to be on campus and go places to do work. The libraries are generally always packed but they do have about four libraries so it comes in handy. not much of a stay on campus and hangout school .

3 College Freshman

Campus Quality: the academic programs i think are sometimes not taken as seriously as they should be and also we have a great social scene lots of people to make friends with, just got to know which one to make friends with .

3 College Freshman

Administration: Very strict but not to strict. They do let a lot of things go however the campus police do come fast and they are very professional.

College Freshman

Campus Housing: we do not have housing or any dorms or anything in my college .

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The overall experience of the financial aid was ok. However it was a headache going through all of the requirements. It helped me out , but did not give me enough to actually even cover my books and some of the classes that i needed. My parents have ok jobs and make decent money but they also have four kids that they need to take care of and since i didn't receive enough financial aid to cover my classes and books it was really hard for me to pay it back with only my part time job. some of my tips are to maybe apply for financial aid and see if you could also get some type of financial aid help through your school.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: The diversity on campus it okay. Some people accept the fact that there are a lot of minorities while others aren't to fond of it. You see this when people have physical and vocal disputes. Some of the challenges of going there being a minority myself, is watching what you say and how you act because everyone is constantly judging you and it is a very uncomfortable feeling.

Local Area: The atmosphere in Milwaukee WI, is great. My school is in the heart of Milwaukee and has everything around it. there is water street which has great people ,bars, food and many other places to hang out . Also it has another college down a couple of blocks which a lot of students, including myself go to to hangout with other friends. The city has many great attractions such as summer fest in the summer and free admissions to the public museums on Mondays for everyone. They city has many malls such as Mayfair and grand avenue mall which are shopped by thousands daily and the mall has a great positive vibe and is a great way to meet new friends. There are plenty of places to workout such as planet fitness located by grand avenue mall and basketball courts and park for little kids and adults.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: Clare Hall is nice and quiet and great if you want to study

3 College Senior

Diversity: There's a dem and rep student groups

4 College Senior

Campus Quality: Ability based system and all women's college. I feel better learning around all women.

Most students who have made it through the majority of their years at Alverno say that they cannot imagine being anywhere else. In fact, many students who leave Alverno to go to other schools because of finances or because they didn't think Alverno was a good fit, often come back.
