4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I haven't started the actual human services program yet but it appears to be a heavy workload but a comfortable environment with teachers and costudents who are passionate about the field.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I believe the classes I am required to take are very applicable to my major(except physics, biology and chemistry). I believe these should not be required for an early childhood educator. They are a complete waste of my money and I do not see how they will be of any help to my career. I believe an early childhood educator should evaluate the classes that are needed for this particular and choose accordingly. I believe it is a way to steal my money. I also believe life will include things you don't like or enjoy but i also believe when pursuing a career you need to be studying things that will benefit you in that career and not be a waste of time. Time is precious.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: It's what you expect from a community college. The staff for the most part is really qualified. In fact, some also teach at Frostburg Univeristy, which is only 15 minutes away. I'm studying political science, and while the school doesn't provide a whole lot of polisci courses, it does offer a few economics courses that are great to tie into your major. The workload isn't too heavy, of course it all depends on how you manage your time. Also, you have opportunities to take many classes online if you prefer that.

The campus isn't fancy with lots of new buildings, however, the campus is maintained, renovated, and pleasing to be on. More importantly though, it is surrounded by a lot of natural beauty of Appalachia.
