Career Services

4 College Junior

Career Services: This is a Junior College, the school works exceptionally hard to try and transfer you to the school you want to go. The staff goes the extra mile to try and get you all the requirements for you to transfer.

5 College Sophomore

Career Services: The alumni network consists of people that I have grew up around in my community. The majority of people who attend AHC are very supportive of their community which leads to increasing enrollment year after year. The job prospects vary based on field of study and logistics but the career center helps with everything.

2 College Sophomore

Career Services: There aren't very many post-grad services at the school. There is a university transfer center.

3 College Junior

Career Services: If students chose to stay in Santa Maria rather than transfer or pursue a higher degree, they often don't achieve high paying jobs. A majority of Hancock graduates who settle with their first degree remain in Santa Maria, so it's important to remember that there's a whole world out there to explore. Hancock is a stepping stone and it's important to pursue those stones even after you make it across the first trail.

The career center there employs Hancock students at their facility. Jobs include; cashier services, office jobs, custodians, baristas, etc. These are all part-time jobs and aren't intended for long term employment. .

3 College Senior

Career Services: The Transfer Center at Allan Hancock is very helpful. When I did my transfer application last year, it a success because I was able to get help from the Transfer Center and the transfer counselor there.
