Career Services: It's fair and clear to understand.

Online Courses: Get to work around your own hours or days.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I been to the school last semester. Still new.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: To them or resources centers is ours to use.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I been getting the great amount to pay off for textbooks, classes, and more. My education is very great. I have all the classes that I need in order to transfer.

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: It's hard to get into the classes that I want.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: however, I haven't worked yet meaning that i didn't have to shuffle my class schedule with a tight schedule with a work routine. but i did have couple of friends who did have to shuffle there time schedule the professors were really understanding and consulted with the students who needed to either leave class earlier or arrive to class a tad late they managed to work away around the hectic schedule of juggling work and school.

Student Body: the student body of my school is full of positive and friendly vibes throughout the students, professors, and staffs. the level of acceptance is pretty much highly positive, because i believe there isn't any issue whether you are: gay, black, white, or brown my school tends to get along with different race and religious. i will actually have to say there isn't any challenges in regards to diversity that i know of or seen in person, like i said before students in Allan Hancock are friendly and full of positive vibes never negativity vibes.

Academic Experience: I'm honestly in the research for some different schools in which will allow me a better education on what I want to continue my education which is animal science more into the range of becoming a vet technician. when I was discussing my major to a counselor he straight up said there isn't much opportunities for me at Allan Hancock that is why I wish to finish my general ad class and follow up with my counselor to make sure I'm taking the proper classes for me to transfer to a school in which is known for what I want to become.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: overall, I believe the academics from Allan Hancock was average.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: I personally don't prefer to take classes online I'm more of interacting with the professor face to face. however I did take a class online it wasn't any difficult class such as science, English, or math. It was more of an elective class. it was a key boarding class. The unique features in that online course was that it allowed me to download a specific program for my typing class which was helpful for me to continue to progress into become a fast typer. The professor's communication skills were awesome he was available for any questions or help through email. I thought he would take a while to respond my email for a question I had, but no he was very efficient and fast to respond back to me. the professor also assigned work which was needed to be done in a certain time.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I personally feel that the value of education I'm receiving is worth the tuition I'm paying.

4 College Junior

Career Services: I honestly haven't been in either of the places to actually rate that certain area such as the career center or the alumni network. so I will rate the office center instead, I personally feel that the office ladies are a little slow they are always doing something rather than actually helping the students but they are friendly though. however when they are helping someone they at least try to do as much as they can to be a successful resource.

Overall Experience: I honestly feel Allan Hancock has some of the great staffs and professors in a college. in experience I was privileged enough to take a class with a professor who teaches chemistry, Dustin Nouri, he was an amazing teacher I went from not knowing anything to learning how to convert moles and grams to milligrams etc. with this professor. he was highly passionate on what he was teaching which made him engage his interest of that subject into a positive and fun way to learn chemistry without stressing his students. Mr. Nouri didn't move to fast he would make sure each and every one of his students approximately 30 students understood his lecture, preparing us for his lab. he would also keep us posted on how we were doing in that class posting the grades on blackboard or telling us personally if were doing well. so far all my professors have been great on teaching me their subject and making me understand each subject properly.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: I will have to rate the library a big 5 out of 5 simply because, the librarians are always in a positive attitude and ready to assist any student who needs help whether it be on applying for a scholarships, looking for a classroom, interpretation on any homework questions, and finding certain books. They are always trying to help. as well with the students who work in the front counter. as for the student center it gets pretty packed but all the students respect each others privacy and doesn't get to loud.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: It is a community college so opportunities can be limited but if you plan to transfer it is much cheaper than a four year.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Class schedules can be difficult if you have advanced classes to take and also work part time in the day.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Campus has good tutoring but the student center can be very crowded at lunch.

Academic Experience: I only have one required course for my major, but the philosophy department is good in my opinion. The classes I have taken have widened my perspective. The courseload for all courses except Logic are easy and is pretty much covered in lecture. Logic is by far, one of the most challenging courses I have taken, right next to Astronomy and Calc 1. Philosophy doesn't really translate into a job opportunity. However the nature of this program has improved my critical thinking skills as well as be flexible and tolerant of other view points.

Academic Experience: Academics is awesome at this school. Registration is kind of always anxiety inducing. Most impacted courses fill up fast, but the wait list option is available. The curriculum taught is very good-professors treat you as an adult and leave it up to you to exert effort and studying which is key in higher institutions. Our school does offer special assistance resources for those who need it. Workload is reasonable, not too hard, but I am no engineering major mind you.

Student Body: The student body is bittersweet for me. I have made few contacts, which have blossomed into great new friendships. For the most part, people here are very introverted or do not want to talk. It may come off as rude. People in clubs have been really warm though and school activities do build bridges. We have not much diversity, but people seem to be somewhat tolerant of each other. Most of the time, people end up just leaving after class has ended. So i'd say this campus excells more academically.

Academic Flexibility: Classes are pretty flexible. I have no real qualms about my schedule. If I have other commitments, most of my professors are understanding and communicate well. All 100s level course credits are transferrable to my CSU's of choice which is great.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial aid awardings at least in my case have taken time and sometimes that is kind of inconvenient. The education I have received for the most part is excellent and resourceful, and worth the money and effort I have put forth. Financial aid office can be very busy at times, and sometimes they aren't very well at solving problems, but i assume it's because so many people are having financial aid problems.

Online Courses: I had taken only one online course for accounting. It was a very confusing, intensive workload. I don't recommend online classes for such a workload. I also had a history lecture course for which we did online tests which I did find convenient. Depending on the course, i think online courses which have easier content would be better. As for harder courses that demand lecture, online classes are disastrous for such.

Overall Experience: Although I can't really expand on this part in depth, there are definitely resources for careers and a bit of technical programs available. There is an LVN, medical assisting, as well as dental assisting programs on our campus, that do in fact prepare many for such careers. I believe there are also many vocational AA's and AS's available. Prior to my current major I was interested in accounting, and I believe there was an AS for accounting which prepared one for bookeeping.
