3 College Sophomore

Administration: Public Saftey is pretty easy to deal with and they are like normal campus Saftey. They do issue parking tickets that are sometimes unjust (couldn't make it into the parking lot because of snow) but will drop charges if you go talk to them.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The RAs and the RDs are really awesome. They are more of like a mentor then an authority figure.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: If you get caught on campus for the first two times it stays on campus so it gives students another chance to try and not get caught.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The strictness isnt that bad. They enforce basic rules that shouldnt be broken, especially if its against the law. If its a small rule that was broken you wont really get in any trouble as long as nobody was hurt.

2 College Sophomore

Administration: Our school administration may not be strict, but they are very unorganized

For campus safety officials and RAs, Alfred University is a cakewalk. All they really ever have to do is shut students up after quiet hours and sweep their rooms for paraphernalia. Despite their best efforts, students are generally very well behaved on campus.

Regulations concerning substance abuse, theft, or assault are strictly enforced, while every other rule is bendable and easily lobbied in your favor. Got a parking ticket? Appeal it, or better yet, pay a visit to your friend, the parking clerk. The great thing about having a campus that is so student-run is that you know plenty of people in beneficial places. Also, Alfred students just don’t go out of their way to break rules. There’s a nice ebb and flow of socially acceptable activity, and everyone on campus seems to be in the groove. After all, who can afford to be fined for throwing snowballs (it’s true!) when the price of school continues to skyrocket?
