A One of a Kind Environment. Alderson Broaddus College is located in the small historic town of Philippi in the state of West Virginia. The 19 building school sets on top of the hill over looking the small town. In downtown Philippi there is a bowling alley and roller skating and nice set down restaurants. As for the movies or other fun things to do you have to drive about half an hour to Clarksburg for movies and other such things. There's not a whole lot to do in Philippi, but the students make sure to make the best of it. When a new student comes on campus they are always greeted with a warm welcome. Alderson Broaddus College is known for their welcoming and extra nice students. I know as a college student when going to eat in the cafeteria you can lay your backpack out in the lobby area and no one touches your things. That's one thing I enjoy about this college. The college has many sporting events and the students are great about cheering on each sport, especially boys basketball. Other sporting events include; boys and girls cross country, boys and girls soccer, girls volleyball, baseball and softball, boys and girls basketball, and track and field. These are some of the great things you shall find when visiting Philippi and/or Alderson Broaddus College!

Although I do not live on campus, the college has many entertaining events that they plan. Comedy shows, bands, etc. I've been to a few of these, and none of them have left me disappointed, for the good part!

From hearing a lot of people talk, most of the entertainment in this area is going to Lil Moe's and getting wasted on a nightly basis. That particularly isn't my kind of thing, and if you aren't into the bar scene and don't go out of town much, you won't find much to do around Alderson-Broaddus at night.

The computers at Alderson Broaddus College aren't the most top notch computers, but they get the job done. Most students at the college have their own personal labtops and so therefore there's not usually many students in the library on the computers. There are plenty of computers however on campus. There's two or three computer labs including one in the library. All the labs have printers so you can print off things, so if a student doesn't own a printer it's not hard to find one. There is also one that only the students who are in the art program use, which are top of the notch computers (iMacs). The wifi at the college is fast about 99% of the time, I've never had a complaint about it. Overall the computers/technology at Alderson Broaddus College is great!
