Transportation: There isn't a bus system in Albion, but Campus Safety will drive you into to town or to work if necessary. On campus, walking will get you anywhere in about 5 minutes. If you want to go shopping or to a movie or to a chain restaurant, you're going to have to out of town. For me, this isn't really a bug deal because my friends have cars. There's also a train station in Albion which is helpful if you live far away.

Transportation: There is no public transportation in Albion because it is located in a rural area. Campus Safety will drive you to locations on campus at night, although they are not always nice about it. They will also drive you to the train station and on certain days, to the store. Again, they are not always the most pleasant people to deal with.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: There isn't really a need for transportation across campus, but campus safety will drive students to desired places for free if needed. There are shuttles on weekends that travel long-distance to shopping places and the movie theatre that are also free.

3 College Senior

Transportation: Definitely Need Car – I haven't experienced traveling without actually having a car at Albion, but I can imagine it is probably difficult especially when someone needs to get somewhere right away. Campus Safety is also pretty good at driving people places as long as they have enough notice ahead of time.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Trains and Campus Safety – There is an Amtrack stop right in town which can take you anywhere the Amtrack goes. Campus Safety also offers a shuttle service to all students.

There really is no need for public transportation on Albion’s campus. Everything on campus is within walking distance, and even if you don’t have a car, you’re sure to have a friend who does. Also, Campus Safety is really nice about giving out rides to students. All a student needs to do to get a ride from Campus Security is call in advance and request a ride.

The College also provides shuttles going to and from Jackson to Meijer, and they are free of charge. During the holidays, there are even shuttles all the way to the Detroit airport for students who need to fly home. These shuttles also are free of charge. The Amtrak station in town is extremely easy to get to as well. As usual, Albion makes it easy for its students.
