Overall Experience: The College does a great job getting recruiters from all different places and jobs around the nation and world to come in and recruit us for positions.

5 College Junior

Campus Housing: I transferred here from Eastern Michigan University and coming from there to here it felt way more homy and everyone around you wants to know you and be friends in a way. everything is more approachable and everything is in close walking distance.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: They do great things on campus but you have to be liked to get into the one you want to be in.

4 College Junior

Athletics: Sports are great on campus they are very big here on campus along with greek life. Since it is a smaller school a lot of the students play sports.

Overall Experience: It is one of the best decisions that I have made in the time i have been alive thus far. It is challenging yet is the most fun and exhilarating experience one will ever have.

Party Scene: The frat parties can rival those of a big school. All students are welcome, as long as they behave, so many vistors from large schools like our parties more. There are some bars and breweries near by but no clubs unless you want to drive far.

4 College Sophomore

Party Scene: It builds relationships between students and connects people who you might not see in class. There are 6 different frats that all throw great parties. It's hard to say one frat throws the best because each frat has a different vibe (different music, different lighting, different people that live there or regularly attend their parties). This means you'll probably grow to have a favorite frat or two, but that just means the others don't fit your personality.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is not a lot of diversity. As the diversity levels increase, we see more intolerance, which the school doesn't promote.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Caffeine is the drug of choice on campus. Alcohol is extremely common on weekends, but you won't be excluded if you don't drink. People take adderall a lot around finals/midterms, but other than that the only other drug people do is weed. Hardcore drugs are very uncommon. Date rape drugs are extremely rare too. Most guys at frats actively try to prevent anyone getting drugged. The one instance I'm aware of was because of someone visiting the campus who drugged my friend at a frat. The members of the frat house kicked him out and helped her as much as possible, including checking up even days later to make sure she was doing okay, referred her to counselling and profusely apologized.

Health & Safety: The campus is pretty safe, to the point I'm not worried about getting hurt, but the town is really sketchy.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel very safe walking across campus with a group of friends and generally safe walking across campus alone, both of which during both day and night.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I've only taken four courses thus far but all of them had teachers who were ready to help students at any time and were very friendly.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Academics are widely known to have high standards and students who graduate with good grades are guaranteed for success.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The longest time it will ever take you to walk to class will be about ten minutes, which is wonderful if you are running late. Everything is kept pretty clean and there aren't any dorms that are just the absolute 'worst'. No matter where you live, it will have decent space and clean bathrooms. Sometimes the electrical outlets are put in awkward spaces, but if you have surge protectors, they're easy to work around regarding organizing your room.

Greek Life: I have met some really wonderful girls that are involved in all six of the sororities on campus and consider some of them great friends. They always speak highly of their sorority and after going to some recruitment events, it's easy to see why Greek Life is so popular at Albion. I mainly hang out with guys from two out of the six fraternities that are on campus, but most of the guys I have met that are involved in Greek Life are nice and sociable. There are small lodges for each sorority and each fraternity gets their own house, meaning that sororities don't get to live among their sisters, but fraternities do with their brothers. The campus is well-acclimated to this and no one is bothered by it. No one is forced to even consider rushing a fraternity and sorority, which is nice for those who don't wish to get involved, but if you are looking for a good place to rush, Albion's atmosphere regarding Greek Life is wonderful.

Athletics: I am on the equestrian team and I love it. Many people actively and willingly participate in fundraisers and activities. Because the facility is off-campus, many people don't know much about the team, but it is overall a well-supported team on the campus.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I just finished my first semester and I absolutely love it. After the fight between what majors I should pursue, I decided to just do both: English (Professional Writing focus) and Theatre. Albion made it easy for me to figure out what classes I need to take at what time to efficiently work on completing these majors simultaneously. The academics are wonderful and I love the teachers I have thus far encountered. Apart from performing, I am on the equestrian team and the facility is absolutely beautiful. Overall, Albion has provided so many opportunities for me and I have never felt more encouraged to do my best and succeed.

Overall Experience: Great professors, small but great school

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The school will make sure they prepare you

2 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: There is no air conditioning, yet classes start in the end of August and many people move in early for sports, training, or organizations. Also, during summer research they don't let students stay in the one air conditioned dorm. Students cannot control the temperature so once it is winter, the heat is so overwhelming students keep their windows open. Most of the dorms are old and not up to code. Yet, they are the most expensive room and board prices in Michigan.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: No modern or mystery english classes. No "out there" or "fun" classes that are educational too. I wish FYE type classes were available to all students.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I wish somethings were different.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: As a liberal arts school we learn how to think.

2 College Sophomore

Athletics: The teams are great, but very few students show up to show support at games or meets. The athletic facilities are shared between non-athletes and athletes, which makes it so the already tiny weight room is not available often for students to workout. It has a great pool, but during the work week it is only open to everyone three hours a day, sometimes less due to meets.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Albion has great safety and emergency call areas

Overall, Albion College is great for a number of reasons. The small campus makes it easy to make friends immediately and meet new people. While living in Albion can be boring at times, making the most of it is sometimes what will leave you with the most memories. There is a sense of community on Albion's campus that is hard to duplicate anywhere else. This isn't to say that everyone gets along, but there is a certain bond between all Albion students.

Albion's liberal arts education is something that also seems to be unique to the College. The professors are approachable, and their excitement for their courses is infectious. Even when you're taking a class that is not related to your major, you appreciate what you learn and are proud of what you've learned in looking back. Beneath the exterior sometimes, Albion is just a down-home friendly kind of place, and a lot of students seek comfort in that and learn to love where they are.
