3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Albion is an okay school, I am always left wondering though why this is the most expensive college in the state and the facilities are sub-par at best.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Albion College is exactly what I needed without actually being aware that it's a perfect fit for me. The small, close-knit community here at Albion is enjoyable and engaging.

Overall Experience: At my school I am able to be a member of every music group and am allowed to achieve the greatest academic experience. Also my school is extremely diverse and allows me real life situations to conquer and learn from.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I think Albion college is the greatest college you could attend. It's not too big or too small and everyone is extremely welcoming with open arms.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love where I chose to go and I love my major and all my professors I've had so far have been so helpful and understanding. I feel like I've learned more in one year at my college than I have in three years in high school. I've met some amazing people and made great friends and I can't wait to see where my education takes me.

Overall Experience: Graduating from Jackson High School in Jackson, Michigan was one of the best things that has happened in my life so far. I loved the students, and the experiences I made through extracurricular activities. The most important thing to me was the teachers that cared for me and helped me to get through high school and into college. Many of the teachers I had I will keep in contact with in the future.

Overall Experience: Albion is great. They provide lots of opportunities for students academically, athletically, in the arts areas, and socially.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Albion College was my first choice school. It's really difficult to not fall in love with the campus as soon as you take a tour. The students and faculty are so helpful and open; there are so many opportunities for academic help and for making new friendships. There could be more options for food and the housing is incredibly expensive (I wish we could live off-campus), but the classes and professors really make up for it. I am also a student athlete, much like many other students on campus, and I wish that our facilities were bigger and better, but the school spirit on campus really makes up for it. Every group of people supports each other, whether it be the basketball team going to the baseball games or the dance team going to a theater performance. It's really a tight knit community at Albion and I'm so glad that I chose it as my college.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Albion College is a small liberal arts school. Although the town is probably the worst party about attending Albion College, the professors and students on campus make up for it. There is always something to do, and Albion really has felt like home. The price is definitely worth it.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: I actually enjoy eating at Baldwin and the Eat Shop, everything at Baldwin is hand made and rarely processed. Campus is kind of far away from any other places to eat if you don't have a car though.

1 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: You are not allowed to live off campus, even though there are a number of empty houses that could be used as special interest student housing. You aren't allowed to buy your own house to live in, even though the community outside of campus is dying and needs help from the students to stay alive.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There is a few different places in the downtown area, which is within walking distance from Wesley, but not so much the other dorms. All other food options like fast food or a good Mexican restaurant is over a mile away and some students do not have cars. Otherwise there is not many options in the town of Albion.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: I haven't had an issues other than violations of the 'quiet hours' in my hall, that didn't really get taken care of despite multiple complaints from many hallmates.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I have most of my tuition paid for thanks to federal aid and the grants the school has given me. I also received scholarships through the school. However, they don't really help you find other scholarships, other than directing you towards search websites.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The buildings are really old and don't have air conditioning, but we do have heat. You are not allowed to live off campus, or even in a house in the community. To do that it has to be through the college.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I don't know very much besides they are available. I have no interest in being in a sorority so I have not looked it up.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: there are very few apartment options. You basically have to buy a house in order to live off

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: I've been to Albion several times and there really isn't much there.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The have been super kind to me and helpful. The process is ongoing. I hope to recieve more aid as the school is extremely expensive

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Really what pushes the social scene on campus. There's always politics involved though in which house people are in

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: It's D3 so it's not that big of a deal except to the people who play them.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The town around the college is kinda run down so must people just live on campus.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There's really nothing to eat besides a Pizza Hut, KFC, Subway and two mexican places

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Lots of departmental scholarships for those that are doing well

Party Scene: Its all about the frats on campus

Overall, Albion College is great for a number of reasons. The small campus makes it easy to make friends immediately and meet new people. While living in Albion can be boring at times, making the most of it is sometimes what will leave you with the most memories. There is a sense of community on Albion's campus that is hard to duplicate anywhere else. This isn't to say that everyone gets along, but there is a certain bond between all Albion students.

Albion's liberal arts education is something that also seems to be unique to the College. The professors are approachable, and their excitement for their courses is infectious. Even when you're taking a class that is not related to your major, you appreciate what you learn and are proud of what you've learned in looking back. Beneath the exterior sometimes, Albion is just a down-home friendly kind of place, and a lot of students seek comfort in that and learn to love where they are.
