Academic Flexibility: Staff and professors have an open door policy.

Academic Experience: My program is online. Hopefully things will be okay

Overall Experience: I like how the professors and staff assist us.

Campus Resources: All of these facilities are kept up pretty well. There availability is awesome. The internet speed is good as well but there are some issues w/ the computers. There campus activities but I currently don't know of any.

Campus Resources: The wifi connection and internet speed are poor. It takes forever to load the pages from the schools computers. The computer lab can only 15 people so out of all 3000+ students there is no guarantee you will be able to get into the lab.

Academic Experience: I am an Internet Specialist - Web Design student almost complete with my Associate's degree. They have changed my program twice in the time that I have been in it, therefore many of the courses I have taken are no longer required. In general, it's a fun major, if it is truly something you're into. But they require certain courses to graduate that don't exactly have anything to do with the major itself (such as Program Design and Development, Java Application Programming, and Information Security Fundamentals); although they may very much help you in the future if you learn/study the material.

Albany Tech is a tech school, therefore they are very hands on with labs and such. But courses such as Information Security do have a distinct work load. It's better to take classes as such in class and take advantage of the hands on training. Many courses are required to be taken in class for proper training and understanding. The classes are split between three or four teachers, depending on which major under Computer Information Systems you are studying; and my classes usually have ten people or less.

I have not yet found or been given internship/job opportunities for my major, and not sure I will due to the area in which I live; but other CIS majors such as Network Specialists have a definite chance just about anywhere.

Campus Resources: I like the diffence in the feel of this schools atomosphere.

Campus Resources: The campus has many different areas to view. Student information systems is a very nice and quiet are to go when trying to complete major assignments on campus. The school libraries help to complete multiple tasks also everyday and all work can be done on time.

Online Courses: I started classes online this semester where you only take the entire class itself online with no instructor to teach you. I think that taking this online class maybe okay and I will be able to learn other things that I haven't learned in class room setting.

Career Services: I don't really know that much about this service , cause this my first year going here .

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: i had to go and get information about shool help from a reacurring customer of my job that works there. i am paying out of pocket and they dont really tell you all your options.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: i like the program but i hate it starts every year and its on a got to take so classes a term. and you have to be out of school no less than 6 months to reapply if u can go

2 College Senior

Overall Experience: ATC has declined in overall student satisfaction. They are more concerned with getting there enrollment up and not about the student. You have a few instructors who go out of there way to ensure students succeed (Ms. West, Ms. Gladden, Bob Nichols, Laquata Sumter)

Financial Aide is a nightmare. They lose paperwork and do not return phone calls or emails. Due to the current issues I have chosen to go to another school for my degree.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I feel the tuition is fairly reasonable. However the financial aid office could use more help maybe volunteers, during registration and the first week of school.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Very Good – All financial aid advisors do their best to make sure that all paper work needed is in and on file before the deadlines come up. There are reminders all over campus to help.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Resources Are Great – Actually at this point the campus has gone through and is currently going through updates. New computers, bigger library, and additional parking have become available.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Great Choice – Once again the school is very hands on. The school has various ties to the community that really helps graduating students.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Job Placement – My school works very hard to assist with finding a great job during the college term and after graduating.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: Network Is Good – There are computer labs all over campus. The connection is good and printers are available. Wi-Fi is also available.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Interview With Others Taking Taking the Same Course – Academically I am impressed with the instruction and course loads. impressed with the availability of the professors and staff in general. After interviewing other students and alumni of Albany Technical College, helped me in my decision to attend this institution.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: I have not gotten that far to seek out the career center. I am hoping this school and the network can help me land a good job.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: Scholarship and Finacial Aids – I have to pay for my books but so far the Hope grant and other financial aid are working fine. I am learning a lot.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Dual Classes – I am a senior in high school and technical school has allowed me to take dual classes. This will help me to persue my goal faster than waiting until I complete high school. The school is not far from high school so it does not create any conflict for my parents or me.
