4 College Freshman

Weather: It depends on whether you like snow or not, I'd hope if you move to Alaska you'd like snow. The snow allows for great cross country ski trails all around campus/town. There's also always the opportunity to go sledding because the snow sticks around all winter. The summers are extremely nice. There is so much daylight and temperatures hover around the 60s and 70s.

3 College Freshman

Weather: The weather hasn't been a big problem in the time that I have been here at APU. The school has done a good job of knowing when the trails are safe to walk on and when they aren't. Knowing when the trails are safe or unsafe is big because that's what we use to get from classes to the dorms. We have had school cancelled three times this year because of the weather. I did wish sometimes for school to be cancelled because of the weather but then after I adjusted to it, it was to bad.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: if I get connected I'm able to go to class sometime internet connection is an issue

5 College Junior

Weather: The weather determines everything about the day, really. What shoes I'm going to wear whether it's rubber or snow boots, a jacket or no jacket, hat or no hat. When the snow falls, the campus gets a sort of winter wonderland effect. One must be aware of potential flying snowballs and ice. Don't slip!

5 College Junior

Weather: Beautiful Summers and Fun Winters – Summer in Alaska is absolutely beautiful. Right now everything is in bloom, the temperature rarely gets above 73 degrees. The campus is filled with people riding bikes, running, exercising, heading out on hikes, etc. In the winter the trails become cross country skiing trails and many students are active in snow sports like snowboarding or skiing.
