Academic Experience: It was great because I was focused on my major more than having to take other subjects that wasn't useful to my major. Being in the medical assisting program allowed me to work on hands with fellow classmates of the same interests and it is great to have been working with these people hands on. Alaska Career College has laid out great aspects to help students in the same major as mine expand knowledge on the medical field.

Academic Experience: The school is the only nationally accredited program in the state of Alaska. They have an extensive program that is comparable to the same curriculum physical therapy students take with a more hands on approach. The professors are not only teachers, they also practice, or have practiced the profession they are teaching. The school provides us with all of the necessary tools for becoming proficient at our profession. The tuition for the program includes: all of our books (most on Kindle Fire), a professional grade table, bolster, holster, test prep for national exams, assistance with job placement even if we relocate, and business practice education. They also provide classes on finance, student loan, and debt repayment. They also provide on campus a space for clinical education.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: We don't take classes if they do not pertain to our major which is really nice. The instructors do their best to gather and discuss work so there is not any one student who is working on more than 2 assignments at a time. Curriculum is just how you would imagine, you do great-you get Deans List. You do poor-you get put on academic probation. Attendance is mandatory, if you are not showing up for class you are risking being put on probation.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The workload is not overwhelming. The curriculum is easy to understand, I know what is expected of me and what I will learn from each course. The career services assists students and graduates with preparation and assists in job searching for careers matching the graduated program.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: It is high speed but you learned the technics to get the job you want.
