Academic Experience at San Antonio College: The professors here are in tuned with the students so that classes can be successful in the classrooms. The teachers are as knowledgeable as well as helpful for the students.

Academic Experience at San Antonio College: My major at this school is in Liberal Art. It gives me a diverse course selection that I am able to look at. Every course however is interconnected in some way. Everything that I have learned can be applied in another one of my classes.

Tuition & Financial Aid at San Antonio College: Tuition is at a good price but the digital aid process can be a nightmare sometimes. I miss the days when financial aid was deposited into your own personal account but now it is put on an Alamo Cash card. Thus is a discover card that gives you any extra financial aid at the last minute pls discover carts are not accepted at every retail location so you can't use that card everywhere. The number of atm's that do not charge a fee are limited too.

Campus Resources at San Antonio College: There is a great number of computer labs on campus but the wireless accessibility is poor. Because of the leather number of students it is hard to get a good connection and the school webserver goes down quite often making it hard to access any information our professors put on that website.

Campus Quality at St. Philip's College: The library is a very quiet place to study, and the athletic center is very nice place to work out on your off time.

3 College Junior

Campus Quality at St. Philip's College: Im not to sure of any different things from SPC then other schools, i never looked into other schools before SPC.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety at St. Philip's College: Since i've started attending SPC it is a smoke and drug free zone, and i have never seen any person disobey the rules.

3 College Junior

Technology at St. Philip's College: There are plenty of computers on campus. Almost every classroom has computers, and also a writing lab, computer lab, and library. It is not important to buy your own if you arrive to school with extra time you can use them before class.

Campus Resources at Northwest Vista College: The network has crashed quite a few times but the teachers have been understanding about us turning in our work late.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources at Northwest Vista College: I live the campus, great gym and it's open to all the students. The auditorium is very nice and clean. There is a cafe that sells Starbucks drinks and food. The cafeteria is great as well very clean and affordable.

Career Services at Northwest Vista College: After my friend graduated he loved the help he received from the shcool. They were very eager to help him out.

1 College Sophomore

Academic Experience at San Antonio College: when i advised my math professor that i didn't understand how i was getting all of the equations correct and the work yet my answers were coming out wrong if she could tell me where/what am i doing wrong. her response was "you're getting the answers wrong so don't get them wrong." this was not the help i was asking for and she knew it which was disappointing. I also was having shoulder surgery the day of a quiz so i asked if she could accomodate and allow me to take it early and the response was "NO!, if you are not here you get a 0." so i had to take the 0 sadly.

1 College Sophomore

Online Courses at San Antonio College: my online teacher never responds to any of the students questions. i have reached out to 2 other students that have left their phone number in the class chat as i have neither of us have received the help we needed so we have been trying to help each other. sadly its like the blind leading the blind. I'm seeking help from a friend who majored in English.

Tuition & Financial Aid at San Antonio College: Since I had to drop out years ago when my support decided not to help me with my son I lost my financial aid and now that I have a daycare that is open till midnight and can watch my son 6 days a week so I can still work 40hours and attend 2 flex class's at a time, with a gpa of 3.14 I was hurt that my appeal for the fall financial aid was denied.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services at San Antonio College: This school prepares you to go to a grad school, this school simply is affordable for the associates degrees. With out financial aid I cannot afford the classes at the local University and since I have been out of school for awhile I wanted to start back with a school that had smaller classes and as a single mom I also needed somewhere I could afford.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources at San Antonio College: The Ranger! Our schools newspaper. The ranger is anoppourtunity for students to get journalism experience! I love it.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources at San Antonio College: Everything is very easy to access at the hours I'm in school, which is all day.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility at San Antonio College: I would like to attend more academic Progrms but they over lap too much

4 College Senior

Campus Resources at San Antonio College: The school stays very traditional. I appreciate the effort I get from professors but not so much administration.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid at Northwest Vista College: Financial aid helps, but transportation for gas is too high and the amount financial aid sometimes isn't enough for the trips and books, and equipment etc..

4 College Student

Academic Experience at San Antonio College: I am music major. My classes are exactly what I expected them to be ... challenging, tedious, methodical and fun!

3 College Student

Academic Experience at San Antonio College: Sometimes I hear my professors gossiping about other professors in the department. One of my professors constantly puts me on the spot in front of my class mates, to make me appear uncooperative, ignorant, stereotypically belligerent.

I am the only black student in the class. Quite often, any question I ask, or comment I make, is met with projections of negativity. I am perceived as "smarter than ... knowing more than ... being more willing to learn than ..." someone like me ... a black woman.
This bigoted mindset pollutes my attempts to learn and grasp the subject matter. Most of the time, my instructor "cannot" hear me because she is more focused on trying to find ways to belittle me.

2 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience at San Antonio College: I wish the professors were better and actually understood the material they were trying to teach.

2 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience at San Antonio College: I am a psychology major, but when I first started I was placed in classes that were too easy, but couldn't get out of them. It was a bit frustrating that I was wasting money on classes I was ahead of. Some of the professors haven't been that great either. I've had professors that couldn't even teach the lesson without getting it wrong.
