Academic Experience at San Antonio College: I love this community college. The class sizes are small and comfortable and the teachers here really want you to pass their classes. I've actually had a previous history professor become my advisor and he's helping me a lot with choosing what classes i should take and which university i should transfer to with out having to spend a lot of money. He realizes that i am living with my mom but I am paying for my schooling by myself. His help is greatly appreciated.

My work-study boss is amazing too. She's always telling me about scholarships i should apply for that won't affect my financial aid standing.

Academic Experience at San Antonio College: The class registration process isn't really that hard. Once you know your financial standing (if you're paying out of pocket or through financial aid), the school website will take you step by step through the process and right through the payement options as well. My first semester at this community college was really easy when applying for classes. No one had explained to me what to do but the website was super helpful.

The workload varies depending on what class or professor you have. Last semester I took a Tx history class and I only had to deal with 3 essays with an optional 4th since the lowest essay score would be dropped and the 4th essay would replace it. I also had the occasional test. Yet, this semester, there is more work in the pre-civil war history class. We have multiple tests, homework, and online work we have to do but it isn't hard at all. As long as you pay attention in class, it's super easy and quick to do. My professor always tells us "If you take more than 5 minutes to do this assingment, you're overthinking it."

The special study options that we have here on campus aren't really special but very helpful. We have multiple study labs that have tutors who can help you. There is a general study lab, a math/science study lab, and two english study labs. One of the english labs is for ESL and remedial students while the other lab is for 1301 english and up. All are very great and all the tutors are super friendly. Everyone appreciates that the tutors don't ask the students to pay them for a session, it's all provided to us by the school. These tutors have helped me a lot and i've actually raised my math grade by 3 letter grades in this past semester!

Over all, the acedmics at this school is great. Like i said before, it's just Financial Aid that sucks.

Campus Resources at San Antonio College: The resources on campus are great. Each is very welcoming and in great condition. The campus is slowly going through some changes but I'm still having to fight financial aid on getting money.

Tuition & Financial Aid at Northwest Vista College: I don't know much about the financial aid and tuition things. Although I'm getting the value of education that I'm paying for.

Academic Experience at Northwest Vista College: Okay, so I have only taken one class for my major, because I'm taking my core classes mainly. Although, my 3D Animation class was pretty great. I enjoyed learning the curriculum, and it was very hands on. It was kind of difficult because basically you learned some of your basic things on how to do some basic things, and you had to do everything else on your own. Workload wasn't too hard.

Academic Experience at Northwest Vista College: Most professors are really nice and want to help their students all the time. There are so many helpful tutoring centers around the school, it'd be ridiculous to fail any class. Class registration wasn't too difficult, although you do need to go to the transfer center if you have any questions. Most classes are not hard, and if you just do everything you need to like attend the classes and do the homework you'll do fine.

Campus Resources at Northwest Vista College: Everyone's really resourceful and work hard to help us succeed. Athletic center is great, although I really wish we had a pool. The indoor track is nice, and so is the basketball court, although I don't use it. I work out all the time in the weight area. It's great. The library is great and clean and nice to study in because it's so quiet, and there are so many place to sit and study. I wish they had more outlets though. They're big on campus activities. The Easter egg hunt we had was THE BEST THING EVER. Awesome candy, awesome prizes, and everyone had lots of fun. There's lots of other activities too throughout the year.

Academic Flexibility at San Antonio College: I haven't need to try and be flexible with my classes but I've heard that they are very reasonable, and helpful if one needs it.

Overall Experience at San Antonio College: The school is pretty good, also something else that's pretty cool is that they have a lot of events to let the students have fun in between classes. The only down side is it is a community college. But if one is interested in getting an associates or just trying to see if the college thing is for them this is a great school to attend.

3 College Freshman

Student Body at San Antonio College: Since my school is a community college, everyone is accepted, they even have foreign exchange students attending. Most seem to be Hispanic, but there is quite a difference in race. The age difference is also pretty different, there are some students who are fresh out of High School, like me, while others are middle aged, trying to pursue a higher career.
