3 College Sophomore

Student Body: I really don't know anything about the student body.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There is not as many people in the office admin. As there is in the medical.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: We have a lot of work.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Sometimes they are slow, freeze up, or shut down.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I just don't like on line classes.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I feel as if I have learned more on an online class versus in class. The teachers are highly dedicated to their students and it shows through their forum post. I have made new friends through my online classes, and also had the pleasure of meeting some in person. The workload can be a bit much, but nothing anyone can't do.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I feel as if it is very reasonable, I am at ACC on a family scholarship so I don't have to deal with financial aid yet.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: If I could do it all over again I would have went to an all girl school that I applied for but the money didn't add up because I didn't know anything like most plus I am the first one of my mother children to go to college since my parents didn't get the chance too

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: They have a 5 star child care which the students actually take are of in the Early Childhood Program

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Great very many helpful people willing to guide you in the right direction

4 College Junior

Student Body: Diversity is what gives this school it's edge

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: resources on campus are great the library has many resources for printing and conferences and computers and much more even wireless connection

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: there are always student activities, the campus only has a basketball team as far as I was informed, student center and library are filled with technology such as computers, television and game systems

3 College Junior

Online Courses: It is great but honestly I miss the social life and my friends. I would prefer to be a traditional class.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The Financial Aid Office and Faculty as well as Student workers are very helpful with the information and is an education worth receiving. Is to figure out was you need ahead of time and always check status even from the internet in order to be helpful towards yourself is the best tips I have.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: There are no athletic centers and the student center is mainly African American students and it is intimidating for a white person. The library is very useful. There are very few campus activities.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The network and wireless access is great, I've never had a problem with it. There are normally computers available so that is not a problem either. Printing things on campus is very easy.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I haven't really had any frustrations with the school. Getting in touch with my adviser was hard at first but we finally worked it out. The class schedule is pretty flexible.

Overall Experience: My overall experience has been great - the teachers are wonderful, so far all the universities I've spoken with accept my credit hours if I were to transfer - it has been exactly what I hopped for: a good education for cheap. On the other hand, the social life is even more non-existent then expected. I don't know of anyone who is involved in clubs or on campus activities. The registration process for each new semester also sucks.

Campus Resources: The computer lab is a decent size compared to the number of students using it. Sometimes the room is very full, but there is usually a handful of computers open. My only complaint is there is no where on campus to print in color.

Student Body: You have the "I'm just here until the financial aid checks go out" students, (yep. attendance drops quite a bit after those financial aid checks are sent), the really dorky/socially awkward kids who are only here because they wouldn't survive at a 4yr school, the preppy girls in the dental assistant program, the girls who don't have any idea of what they want to do with there life (always in the nursing program. Always.), the hard-working adults, the druggies, the kids who are just here because mom wanted them to go to college, and then I'd say about 30% of the school is hard-working, smart students looking to for a cheap education and wanting to transfer to a 4yr school. Everyone is very friendly and easy to get along with.

Academic Experience: The teachers are amazing. They are so helpful and they really know their stuff. Most of them have taught at 4yr schools for a long time and started teaching here because of the smaller class size and laid-back atmosphere. The workload can be however you want - I choose to have a heavy work load (17 credit hours) and it is challenging, (and can be overwhelming) but that is only because I've made it that way. The teachers are very accommodating if you need to miss class/or an exam. My only complaint is that there is not enough options as far as class schedules are concerned.

Campus Quality: Social life is...non existent for me I suppose. I meet/hang out with people I've met in class and haven't really met anyone outside of my classes. It's a community college, what do you expect? The academics so far have been wonderful - all my teachers have been very personable and they will stop and help you if you need anything at all. It's been a good place for me to start my education, save a LOT of money, and still be able to live at home and continue to work at my part time job.

Academic Flexibility: The teachers are WONDERFUL. All my instructors so far are very flexible about rescheduling missed exams if you're sick/in a car accident (no on-campus housing), etc. I have found it very frustrating that there are not many options for certain classes - particularly science classes. I was hoping to take two science classes next semester, but it was impossible because there was only one daytime option for each class and the class times clashed. Big bummer. There's also a lot of other classes that only have one or two class options and they are extremely hard to get into. I am hoping to transfer to a 4yr school next year, and so far all the universities I've spoken to have told me that my classes will transfer without any issues. As long as you stick to the university transfer program/classes you should be fine.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I submitted my FASFA, and I needed a few different papers to complete the financial aid process at this school. I sent in the missing papers, and then waited several months without hearing anything until I finally called the office about it. It took me a while to get a hold of someone, but it turned out they forgot to move my file over or someone didn't put all the info into the system or something? Anyway, after I called and they realized they had made a mistake, the office was EXTREMELY helpful, I had my financial aid numbers in two days, and it's covering my entire first year - books and everything. My only "complaint" would be that they need more people working in the office - those ladies are so hard to pin down and are always running around like crazy!
