Parking: Most of the parking is located on the basketball arena parking area. and they say you have to have a permit but most people don't.

3 College Freshman

Administration: The campus is strict about some things and lenient about others. There pretty strict about visitation but there are lots of ways to get around the rules. They are supposedly strict about drugs and alcohol but I haven't heard about that many strict enforcements

Health & Safety: I feel very safe on campus, campus police are located all over campus but it varies how much they assist you. there is a security checkpoint to enter campus after dark so most of the times you cannot enter unless you have a student ID . There isn't a lot of crime on campus besides a few fights or drug related things. its generally pretty safe but it is advised to walk in groups or not by yourself when its real late at night.

Campus Food: The dining is very interesting it can be very bad at times depending on what you eat. there isn't a lot of diversity and it can be quite predictable. It helps when you eat early when there aren't lots of people there because the food is often times fresher and its a better experience. The Café is buffet style and there is only one on campus. you can change your meal plan to include food in the student center, in there there is a subway , a pizza place, a chicken place and a breakfast place. the food there can be very expensive though. eating in the café will get old sometimes so its best to explore other options.

Local Area: There are not many things to do off campus. the local atmosphere can be very dry and it can also be a bit unsafe if your not careful. its a very small town but most people respect the college students .

Greek Life: Greek life is everywhere there are mixers often held everywhere on campus and this is there opportunity for them to step and stroll. Greeks throw parties nearly every weekend some are at clubs and some are at there houses. Greeks are usually upper-class men. Not everyone is greek but a lot of people are.

2 College Freshman

Transportation: There is no consistent transportation except for when going to a party and you ride on the club or organizations free shuttle. The bus service is pretty bad and so are the taxis. Its a small city so there are not a lot of forms of transportation especially on campus. it would be very beneficial to have a car.

Academics: Being a Business Major is challenging, and there is a reputation for this major of be one of the hardest ones on campus.

4 College Freshman

Academics: So far the curriculum is great, its a pretty average workload for most. I'm in the honors program and with that being said my classes are somewhat difficult but very similar to my AP classes in high school. from most of the people I hear from the workload is easy and manageable . Popular study areas are generally in the library. the registration process is easy you can either receive a schedule or you can personalize yours own online.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I am not very familiar with the off campus process, most people stay on campus unless they are from Montgomery and prefer to commute. There is an of campus apartment place but it is generally for overcrowding as far as I know its easy to come by. and busses go back and forth to the school pretty regularly.

Weather: The weather is great, especially for me since im from Chicago and am used to crazy weather. The weather usually does not really affect campus life. its generally pretty hot and that makes campus life fun because everyone's outside. when it rains everyone gets upset but most people have umbrellas so that really isn't a problem. its either hot or average cold, you'll never need a heavy coat at the most you will just need a light jacket most days.

3 College Freshman

Technology: There are computer labs all over campus but most students believe that they are only located in the library. The other labs are located in the buildings where classes are held. The are call the writing labs, math labs and science labs which have free printing and unlimited access to the internet within the open hours. The wifi is a bit unreliable but 70% of the time it works. the labs are generally open but during semester crunch times they get very busy. printing is free in most labs however sometimes the ink goes out and other problems happen. Overall its pretty average.

Guys & Girls: Dating is very interesting at this school. Most students stick to hook ups or casual relationships. There are not many couples at this school at all, its as if nobody wants to label themselves. I've only seen a couple of couples at this school but it is extremely rare. The guys are mostly attractive and many of them are in shape. The Athletes and people in Greek organizations are often times very attractive. The girls are average and there is a lot of diversity. style ranges for both sexes and most of the time people dress nicely for class, no one really goes in pajamas. people dress up often for no reason and sometimes it can be a lot like a fashion show. people are very judgmental about what you look like. you don't have to wear designer labels but you should look nice. Id say about 60 % of the school wears normal clothing , while 30% wears kind of urban or ghetto clothing. and the last 10% wears crazy things that just work for them. Most of the Guys are interested in sex and casual dating and when there done they will toss you away, especially the athletes and upper classmen . not all of them are this way there are some that are genuine and nice and looking for a relationship but you have to look, its not very common. There are a good amount of girls that are interested in hook ups also but I would say that also a lot of girls are looking for relationships.

Majors: So far, what I know about Majors are, there pretty good and challenging depending on which one you choose . Freshman year is mostly general ed with maybe one or two classes within your major. There are a lot of complaints about taking classes that aren't needed , for example a business major taking biology and chemistry, but its easiest to avoid these classes by having AP credit or simply discussing the issue with your advisor. All different majors have a strong presence on campus, you will always see theater majors being very theatrical and hosting functions or business majors parading around in suits. I cannot speak for other majors but I can say that as a business major my curriculum is challenging and more demanding then I had thought it would be.

4 College Freshman

Majors: As a business major we are required to dress up every day of class if you don't your grade will suffer and you may be kicked out of class. some teachers are stricter than others with this policy though. most days its business casual other days its professional dress which includes a suit. the curriculum is challenging depending on the instructor and the class you take. Most of the classes are taken seriously though, and there is not a lot of room for mistakes or laziness. you truly earn your grade if your lazy you'll get a C if you work hard you can probably earn an A .

Campus Housing: Housing is all right its really what you make it out to be. They are really strict about visitation, but it can be confusing because some dorms allow it while others don't. Students usually go into the coed dorms freely but there is a harder time getting into the opposite sex dorms. Overall there is a range of different types of housing. Most of them are traditional and there are two new facility co-ed dorms, a couple of apartment style housing complexes and the rest are same sex dorms. most of the housing allows for up to 300 students per dorm, most of the housing is also styled in suites with 4-6 students sharing one bathroom and 2 students per room. The best housing is new facility because the visitation is really relaxed and everything is new since it was recently built. These are also the most expensive and are usually reserved for upper classmen and athletes but if you pay you should get what you need. some of the other dorms have had complaints like issues with heating and air, but otherwise everything is pretty average. I haven't heard of any unsightly things like bugs , so I guess that's good. Overall its a pretty traditional system, its not bad.
