3 College Junior

Campus Quality: Students have many options to choose from when hanging out. Many buildings are left open until late to give them opportunities to socialize, study, or even get homework done. Only downfall is that al of the dorms are no visitation allowed. That needs to be changed.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Everyone at the school are in cliques. Most of the people are friendly but of course it's college so you're always gonna have that one crowd that sits around and critique people everyday because they have nothing better else to do with themselves.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are several options near the school but you get tired of them quick. Also, all of them are closed no later than 10pm with the exception of Taco Bell and Waffle House and most kids don't want to be stuck eating that every night.

3 College Junior

Administration: It's normal. They won't bother you unless you're doing wrong.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: I'm assuming it's great. You just have to make sure you have your deposit for your dorm room early so you can be guaranteed a room. Dorm like if like any other college. I won't experience this until January.

4 College Junior

Diversity: They don't judge just because the school is an HBCU. They accept students that they feel will represent the school well!

Overall Experience: The process was longer because I'm an out of state applicant.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: It's takes awhile to process paperwork like any other college.

Off-Campus Dining: I haven't entered school yet. I assume it's okay.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Depends on if the Greeks like the non Greeks. To fit in here you have to be a part of Greek life

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Some parts need some attention, and others like the health center need to be in a better and safer and cleaner place.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Some dorms are nice, while others could use an upgrade. They also need to build more dorms on campus, because there is not enough room for everyone.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: It just tells you how to dress for the days, and it changes day by day. You never know what to wear without looking outside first.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: I just got into my major, so I do not really know too much information about its opportunities.

1 College Sophomore

Parking: The campus needs more space for parking that is not so far from the dorms.

2 College Sophomore

Party Scene: Students party at the same clubs, and it's pretty much just ASU students. Underage nightlife sucks, and the transportation to get there sucks if you don't have a car.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: You pretty much at at the same places, because everything is so repetitive.

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: It's not the best and it's not the worst city to live in.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: Alabama State has some pretty accepting students; no matter the what makes you different from the other students.

1 College Sophomore

Athletics: Alabama State revolves around the varsity sports. The school does not care about anything other than what brings them money.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Students have or know how to access to the drugs and alcohol of their choose. Students are going to find a way to get what they want regardless.

Health & Safety: There isn't really a secure thing on campus. If something happens they'll come to secure and check if everyone is okay, about 20 minutes too late.

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: Montgomery is a small city within the state, so everyone seems to know each other pretty well.

Scholarships: In the financial aid office, they are basically just there to have someone there. I don't know any time that I have went in there and they have helped me right away without sending me to a different department first. The university as a whole has money in trust funds and grants in which they can help more students that they do without us having to take out loans and owe them more money than what is intended.

4 College Sophomore

Technology: The number of computers and labs at our school is great, but when they close is another story. The wifi is horrible. Most of the time it is very slow, and often is shut down. If you do not make it to a lab, before 5, or the library, before 10, you are in for trouble.
