Athletics: Bowling is the best athletic team on this campus

Athletics: The best football team in the south Go Bulldogs.

Athletics: Like most schools, the only sports that people pay attention to are the sports that bring money to the school, mainly football and basketball. It's hard to tell if people go to games to actually show school spirit or just to hang with friends. Alumni show more spirit than the students. Nobody has faith in the football team. The only reason people go to football games is to see the halftime show, the stands be empty once the third quarter starts. Honestly, the football an basketball team here aren't even our best teams but those are the only two teams that get talked. People here don't even know that we have a bowling team but they won the championship last year and the school hasn't made an announcement about that or anything.

Athletics: The sports teams at A&M are great teams but can sometimes be inconsistent throughout the years. Some teams gradually get better with time and some get worse over time. So the A&M athletic department Is average overall

The best athletic team on the A&M campus is the women's volleyball team. This team wins a majority of its games, and has gone on to compete in a variety of competitive events. On the other hand, the football team is not the greatest. The team loses many of its games, but ironically, at A&M, no one really attends the football games to see football. Typically, students show up to the games to see the band at the halftime show or to simply socialize with friends.

Like the women's volleyball team, the men's and women's basketball teams are pretty good. They win many of their games, and lots of students come out to support them. Their games are less theatrical than the football games, but they are lively and entertaining, nonetheless. There are also tennis teams that have a limited amount of experienced players, but they are working hard to improve their game. Not too many students come out and support them because they tend to lose most of their games.

Most Popular Sports
Basketball and football are the most popular sports.
Most Overlooked Teams
The teams that are overlooked the most are the baseball team, the bowling team, and the tennis team.
School Spirit
School pride is a big issue at A&M. When you walk on campus, you immediately know that you've entered "Bulldog" territory.
Getting Tickets
Tickets for games and events on campus are sold in the stadium or from members of the SGA (Student Government Association). Usually, fliers will be posted around campus, directing students to where they can purchase tickets.
Best Place to Take a Walk
The quad is a serene place to pray, collect your thoughts, and think. The best time to walk in the quad is between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. because most students are in class, so no one is really out there to bother you. Another quiet place to walk is around the stadium. Hardly anyone is over in this area on a regular basis, so it's typically free all of the time. It's a wonderful place to go and clear your head after a stressful day of classes.
Did You Know?
Every Friday is "Maroon and White Day." All students wear their AAMU gear on Fridays. Also, on the day of big games, members of SGA (Student Government Association) or the Pep Squad will march down the dorm hallways with drums and bang on students' doors to encourage them to attend the game.
