Party Scene: There's always events going on at local clubs and they are always fun. As long as you know someone with a car you'll have transportation.

Guys & Girls: Most people on campus are really cool and friendly, it's not hard to meet people at all.

2 College Sophomore

Transportation: Its hard to get transportation because there's no public transportation for a low price in the whole city. A student would have to spend ten dollars or more to get around. However, transportation on campus is good.

Health & Safety: The campus police keep a look out and keep it pretty safe on campus.

Greek Life: Non-Greek students view Greeks as cool people or people they might want to be like in the future. We don't have Greeks housing available on campus but Greeks are always on campus making campus life fun.

3 College Junior

Technology: There are plenty of labs around campus that are usually open for students to use, but if you want to do late night online studying, bring your own.

Off-Campus Dining: There are plenty of different places to try. In fact, I've been here years and not tried them all yet.

Campus Housing: It isn't that bad to live on campus if you manage to get into one of the main dorms, but if you end up in one of the others its like being in a closet with a roommate...

Weather: If it snows even a little school gets canceled and the tornado season is horrible about storms.

Diversity: It's a rather diverse school with many races and people attending throughout the year.

Academics: It is a major that is very heavy on Mathematics and therefore it is very stressful. There are plenty of opportunities for internships and jobs though.

College Junior

Academics: I am an introverted person in this aspect so I cannot accurately rate this.

4 College Freshman

Technology: When one lab is not available, there is a guarantee computer at a different building. The need for a personal computer is extremely important. During finals, most printers are already shut down but that is when the most extra credit is offered.

Campus Food: The hours available are horrible. There is this crazy rule that if you eat after a certain time then you are not allowed to eat the next meal. The food is very repetitive. You are most likely to eat chicken four days out the week. There is no other use for the meal plan.

Academics: As an honor student, my opinion may differ vastly from other students. My professors are harder and the workload and unexplainable. Other than that, the process is very easy and good, especially when advisors advice the students of the curriculum requirements.

Off-Campus Dining: It is mainly just chicken and pizza as an option. Cost is average for students with monthly income

Transportation: The school is pretty much in the center of everything. This makes it easy on cost for people without cars who need food delivered or to catch a cab. Two bus stations are available to the campus which is very beneficial for students low on cash.

Greek Life: I enjoy attending the events. The Greeks students are awesome. They make it seem fun and I have become very interested in joining.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: It is very diverse. I see many people from all over the place. Though people come from different places and have different beliefs, they all get along in the facilities.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Haven't really paid attention to off housing.

College Freshman

Party Scene: I do not know. I spend most of my nights studying for exams because I have extremely challenging classes.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

The A&M experience is excellent! Students who have graduated from A&M often say that there is no place like "The Hill." Sure, students complain about the long financial aid lines, old buildings, and out-of-date resources, but when asked if they would do it all over again and still make A&M their first choice, many have said they would. A&M is truly a "home away from home." It's a great place for students to discover who they are and who they can become. Being a historically black college, A&M has so much history engraved in its roots. After attending A&M, students gain a greater appreciation for their heritage and for those who came before them. Also, out of all the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), A&M has one of the best food science programs. It is one of the only HBCU's that has an accredited program. Most of the students who graduate from A&M with a food science degree are employed and working for major companies like Coca-Cola.

A&M is a great school to attend. Lifelong friendships and connections are made on this campus. Students at A&M are more than classmates—they're family. They encourage and support each other throughout their academic journey.
