Overall Experience: STAY AWAY!!!! This school is the biggest SHAM out to steal your money! Our class started out with 48 Nursing student, by the time we finish our 2nd clinical class, we were down to 9. STAY AWAY! Even if you think you're smart and capable, these teachers are the rudest, most unprofessional people who will fail students arbitrarily if they don't like you. I once had a teacher say in the middle of OPEN lab with about 20 people in it, that I needed to & "shut-up and get medicated" because I didn't hear someone clear across the room talk to me, she said it in front of everyone and then proceeded to fail me because I "seemed highly anxious". STAY AWAY! These For-profit schools are a sham!! I WILL be filing a complaint with the Ohio board of education! All of this, plus, every single thing you learn, you teach yourself, my teacher who failed me, actually said that clinicals are not the time to learn anything new, you're there to show what you know, and my teachers in class give pointless group assignments and don't lecture! WASTE OF TIME!!!

Academic Flexibility: there is little to no flexibility in class scheduling; the register is rude to all students and asking questions seems to be a major inconvenience to both people working in this area.

Campus Resources: THE GOOD AND THE BAD – The good: small school, easy to navigate, small personal classes. Some of the business instructors are great, genuinely care about student success and I learned a lot in their classes. Even though there was a lot of work, they made learning fun. Free popcorn on Thursdays. The library: The library staff is the best. The librarian is always so helpful. They need more computers hooked to printers.
The bad: the rude behavior of the Dean towards students, some of te population that attends this school are not serious about an education, some of the instructors have NO clue what they are doing and I believe that some instructors actually hate the students and teaching. My accounting class changed the course schedule five times during a session! The instructor of critical thinking seems to pick on certain students in the class: I was glad I was not one of them because the instructor was cruel and hateful.
Good and bad: One of the instructors justs gives you the answers which is good if you want an easy A, but bad if you want to learn the materials.
Summary: If you want to have a chance at getting a decent job, go to a university with a better reputation, like Akron U. or Kent State. They do not cost more tha this school.

Student Body: well, theres a lot of african americans, and older people with kids.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I thought the tuition was a little high, and the financial aid advisor I had didnt know what he was doing, and a little rude but he was also new. The rest of the financial aid advisors are great!

Campus Resources: Library Is Not Bad – The library isnt bad, there are a lot of books and the librarian is very helpful. If there isnt a book in the library, you can order one from a different herzing university and it will be mailed to the school within that week. Its a little small, and no that many computers or desks, but there are computer labs all around the school, along with other places to sit down a do homework at.

Campus Resources: Really, This Place Sucks – a degree from this place is as worthless as just printing one at home on your computer.

Academic Flexibility: Wow, What a Dump! Just amazing that anyone, i mean anyone, would waste their money coming to this dump! this degree is absolutely worthless! People actually laugh when they see where you went to college. You have to be a really freaking idiot to THINK that a "Akron Institute" degree is EVER going to be looked favorably upon. Go to KENT! Costs the same and is actually respected.

Career Services: Nursing Faculty – In the nursing program, the staff becomes a part of your family by the time you graduate. They really do try to help in any way that they can. After graduation they put out their "tentacles" and help find job placement if you can't find it on your own. They are in a class of their own for sure.

Student Body: The Mixing Pot – Our school is very diverse. We have people of all races, backgrounds, ethnicity, religion etc. I love how different we all are from each other. No one can say anything bad about anyone else, because we are all just struggling to make a difference in our lives.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Easy as Pie – The financial aid department is very knowledgeable and helpful. I went in, talked to someone, filled out some forms with them, and was approved for financial aid. It was so much easier than I had anticipated.

Overall Experience: Why I Like My School. I like my school because, it is just like the commercial. There is alot of hands on help. Also the instructors will do anything to help you if you need help.

Campus Resources: Simple Issues – Sometimes our network shuts down or a student infects the computers with a virus from their flash drives, but the computer labs are good. We can't print powerpoints at all. The resource center is really small and there are only about 5 computers in there so students are piled into the center when something needs printed, copied, or APA papers are due. The staff in there are absolutely awsome and very informative.

Online Courses: Not Much Experience – I began online and I absolutely didn't like it. There was too much stress registering and begining classes. I had issues with my computer and my on-line instructors didn't get back to me. The advisors were really great and tech support was awsome as well. I withdrew from on-line and enrolled to the Akron campus and haven't looked back.

Academic Experience: My Akron Institute Experience – The registration was really easy. My advisor was really nice and understanding and really worked with me to make sure I was making the best choice for me. The curriculum is fast paced which works great for me. Our semesters are 8 weeks instead of 16. My professors are great. I loved every last one of them. They work with you one on one and schedule different study sessions. One of my professors even gave us her cell to reach her directly. Once when we had a sub, we called as a class so she could explain the assignment and help us get through it. The instructors do whatever is possible to make sure all of their students succeed. I appreciate that. I don't like how I personally don't get to schedule all of my classes myself. They automatically give you classes and you can switch a class if you have a valid reason. I'd rather take early mornig classes so I could work and I would've taken all of my general courses fisrt so I could focus more on my difficult classes. Also it sucks that they send me a National Society invitation almost every semester but I can't join because I never have the money. Overall, it's a great school.
