Aiken Tech is a diamond in the rough, one of those “best kept secrets”! The administrative staff is so committed to serving the interest of the student body and the professors and other teaching staff are personable, professional and AWESOME! My first college experience was at a school that I won't name here; suffice it to say that Aiken Technical College helped me realize, in real-time, my high expectations for what a college education could be like.

With the exception of one professor, all of the professors are excellent! My advisor is very knowledgable and will even admit when he is unsure of something and either find out the answer for you or point you in the correct directon to get the anwer. There are many programs offered and since there is a wide variety of students at the school, most classes are offered every semester.

Aiken Technical College is the first I have seen that has an active fraternity, that has members who are willing to be proud of their involvement. It also provides a chance for students to be involved with a sports team. Although, it is not as diverse as a four year university, it still provides an array of opportunities for students to become involved within the school. The personal relationship each faculty member tries to reach with every student is astounding. This is probably one of the biggest differentiating factors it holds against any other college or university I have been to or seen.
