Weather: Georgia weather is very inclement, but when it's predictable it's usually pleasant. For events that are held outside, inside options are used in case of sudden weather changes.

Guys & Girls: It's a women's institution. Our population is diverse, so looks, interests, dress, social life, and relationships will vary.

Academics: There are plenty of programs and clubs to get engaged in your major. Workload depends on the professor. The curriculum also varies, facilities are very available, and internship/job opportunities appear frequently, but your own efforts are required; they won't be handed to you!

Academics: The professors are very supportive. The curriculum and workload will depend on various things. The registration process is a bit of a hassle since the process is done by class seniority and the website itself isn't very user-friendly. The are plenty of study areas to choose from- very cozy. The institution is very accomodating for every student.

Party Scene: There are a total of 3 notable on-campus parties throughout the whole year. To party, a student will more likely have to get off campus and make their own fun. Transportation is annoying whether you have a car or not; nothing is close by or convenient.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The option known is Avery Glen; the only other option known to me is commuters living with parents. Cons to it is not living directly on campus which can sometimes be inconvenient. The cost is a bit higher than living on campus. There are no landlords but there are RA's. Parking is available.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Student involvement varies. Team performance also varies on sports. There's some fan support, mostly friends and family of the team member. School spirit is evident. Athletic facilities are available.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: It's a bit pricy if you're going downtown to eat; wouldn't recommend unless it's done once in a while- moderation is key! For those without transportation, ordering out is probably the best option; would more or less come out to the same price but there's no movement involved :) Going out for light snacks is a different story; I believe it's very affordable from what I can remember. There's some student discounts depending on the restaurant. There is variety; and the best place to check out will depend on the individual student. Try it out and see for yourself.

Campus Housing: The RAs are great! They are always available to talk and help you with anything you could possibly need.

Party Scene: MARTA takes you into downtown Atlanta as well as to the neighboring schools, so finding something to do is not that difficult, you just have to go out and take the time to get there.

Overall Experience: Everyone is so welcoming and you know almost everyone regardless of your major. The campus is small, but not too small.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: It was extremely easy to apply and get the ball rolling for what I wanted to do. You just have to be honest and yourself with your admissions officer.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I love the Women's Studies department! The professors are great with helping you outside of class, and are extremely kind.

3 College Sophomore

Technology: There are multiple areas to print, so there is never really a waiting for a printer.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: There are only two places on campus to get food. Evans, the dining hall, and Mollies, the "grill"/fast food place. Both have decent food, and are open at decent hours.

5 College Sophomore

Administration: The Honor Code is taken extremely seriously, and every student is bound by it.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: You are definitely expected to work hard. This is not a school where you can slack off and expect to get a decent grade. You work for your grades.

Academics: Every semester before you register for your classes, you must meet with your academic advisor who will see how things are going and see where you are in terms of graduating on time. After the meeting, a hold is lifted and you are allowed to register.

5 College Sophomore

Local Area: Decatur is a cute little town that is extremely safe. There are many little independent shops and restaurants as well as chain places such as Starbucks.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: The athletics are not very popular as everyone is usually too busy with their school work/social lives to really attend games.

5 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Everyone is kind here! There are quite a few queer women and trans*men as well as gender non-conforming people at the school as well. Being queer on campus is not seen as a bad thing as no one really cares. You can easily be yourself and find friends in any group/social circle.

Transportation: Zip Cars are available on campus, and there is a MARTA station only ten minutes away walking.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There is always a security guard walking around campus and if you need anything from them, they are more than willing to help. Also, if you need to be picked up from the Decatur MARTA station when it's dark out, they will come pick you up.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: The library is huge and there are hidden floors that are great to study in.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: So much green! It's an absolutely beautiful campus and not hard to find people studying outside when it's warm. Everyone is so sweet and there's the whole Southern hospitality matched with the rigorous workload.

Agnes Scott is a liberal arts school with a small professor-to-student ratio, with rigorous academics and a thriving club life. The professors are all passionate about the subjects they teach and have had some experience in their fields, too. For the most part, they bring their all to each class. Not only are the professors intelligent and passionate, but they are also personable. There are few professors who are difficult to speak with about problems, anxieties, or comments about a class. The same can be said for all of the faculty and staff at Agnes. Everyone is committed to allowing students to learn and grow. The small community helps everything be personal.

Agnes helps to shape students into well-rounded individuals with the skills to enter a career. In order to get the full Agnes experience, it's important to put yourself out there. Many skills can't be acquired without reaching out to the College's offices or clubs/organizations. However, the most important thing any prospective student should remember about Agnes when making her big decision is that Agnes is a small, private, women's liberal arts college. All of these factors are important to consider because they will determine the experience you have. All in all, the Agnes experience is a wonderful one, but students should be aware that this experience is only obtained if they actively engage in the community around them.
