Off-Campus Dining: Adelphi University is located in a quiet community that is on the outskirts of a large town with options for all likes and preferences. Adelphi offers transportation to many popular off-campus hangouts. There are dining options in walking distance and you never have to go very far anyways. Many of the closest dining options offer student discounts for just Adelphi students, and if not specifically for Adelphi students, they offer discounts for college students with ID.

Overall Experience: There is a great variety of courses. First of all, many courses offered for each major, but also, many courses offered to non-majors who are interested in the subject. Class sizes are from about 15 to 30 students per 1 teacher. For the most part, courses are challenging but reasonable and the professors are great matches.

Overall Experience: Adelphi is very helpful in finding students jobs or internships. The career center is fantastic. They address all of the students' needs. Adelphi frequently has job fairs where prospective employers go to seek employees on campus, giving Adelphi students "first pick" perse.

Diversity: There is a lot of diversity on Adelphi's campus. We have a large international community of students, which Adelphi accomodates. There are different clubs for students of different nationalities or students who are interested in that culture. Adelphi also offers services for people of different religions.

Athletics: There is no school spirit. People dont even know we have certain sports teams.

Campus Quality: It is a very nice campus.

5 College Junior

Diversity: It is a very diverse campus. I have many friends who are international students.

5 College Junior

Local Area: As long as the NY Islanders are here i cant complain.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Its a good school, but you have to get involved. You must find friends who will go to events and go out. Otherwise you will end up hiding in your dorm and eating the shit food lackman provides. The school will be what you make of it.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Adelphi has a very good reputation. Your degree can take you far.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: This is a safe campus

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The girls are either nice and sweet or preppy and stuck up...Its like 50/50 there. The guys are freaking strange. Always had the joke of the 3%. Thats 3% of the male population are single, straight and date-able.

3 College Junior

Administration: The school is very strict when it comes to drinking on campus: it is never allowed. It can also be a pain to visit other dorms, but it is for our safety.

Greek Life: Once you join greek life, you forget who your other friends are.

Local Area: The area surrounding the campus is beautiful. The neighborhood is well maintained and the shops in the area sere good quality products. Adelphi is a 5 to 10 minute drive from Roosevelt Field Mall so there's a wide variety of food, stores and entertainment available to you. If there are any local attractions or activities made available to students I'm not aware of any so maybe that is something that could use some improement

Academics: The professors are basically a hit and miss, if you're worried you should use "rate my professor" and take it from me, believe the reviews you read! Registration is pretty easy if you're anything but a nursing major, if so, good luck. The work load all depends on your major and class.

4 College Junior

Academics: If you have a good advisor and great time management being a business management major can be great. It's not that difficult and with some concentration it can be a great experience. There's a mall nearby so if you want a job that's your best bet because on-campus jobs aren't the easiest thing to come by.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Our campus is pretty diverse, although most of these groups tend to stick together there are plenty of them to choose from.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Again this depends solely on your outlook. College isn't like high school in the sense that you get a chance to know everyone and choose your "group". You kind of stick with who you're put with, your first roommate, that girl that lives down the hall that's up till 4am and gets noodles at the same time. That's kind of how it works.

Campus Housing: Living in the dorms is really what you make it. I've been on both sides of the spectrum, where I'm happy to be there and get along with everyone and where I'm more reserved and stay to myself most of the time. Depending on your personality and outlook, you'll either enjoy it or hate it.
