3 College Sophomore

Academics: Professors care, but are limited in number. The English Department (my major), is close knit, and accesable.

2 College Sophomore

Transportation: The adventure program offers rides to their events.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Not great. Few options. No place to get a great burger.

5 College Freshman

Majors: The English department is very close with each other, and from what I've seen, all of the other departments are the same. The work is what you would expect out of college, and the same goes for curriculum. The English building just got renovated, so everything is new and pretty. All English Majors have the chance to work in what is called the "writing workshop" if they want.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: It is honestly up to the people you know. Technically, there are two clubs in town that a lot of people I know enjoy. Personally, though, I've had much more fun going to the Sand Dunes with a bunch of my close friends, and just hanging out.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: As far as I know, the only transportation they have for non-athletes is the friends you have and their cars. It's a small town, though, so everything is within walking distance, for the most part.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The RA's can be a bit strict sometimes, but it's their job. They are always friendly, though, and are usually "on your side" about most things. They honestly just want to help you.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There aren't many places open past like eight and I'm under 21 so bars aren't exactly fun to be at.

4 College Freshman

Technology: Sometimes there aren't enough computers in the labs for students to use but its getting better since they decided to open up another lab 24/7

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Alamosa doesn't exactly have the nicest arrangements but they're livable.

5 College Freshman

Technology: There is always availability of computers on campus. I can't remember a time where all of the computer labs were taken up. As far as I know, there are four main computer labs spread out on campus, two of which are in the library. Each lab consists of at least 15-30 computers. Network reliability and speed are very reliable. It wouldn't be too much of a problem if you didn't have your own personal computer due to the amount and efficiency of the computer labs and printers available.

Off-Campus Dining: Although there are not really any places with student discounts, there is a variety in this small town, people just have to look. There are Mexican, Italian, Chinese/Viatnamese, and others. If you are looking for cheap AND very good quality, I would recommend Campus Cafe, which is about two blocks away from the college campus where they serve mainly breakfast, but you can also have the traditional burger or quesadilla. VERY good.

Off-Campus Housing: Its nice but the party house get in the way sometimes and having many poeple you dont like pay rent is less then fun..

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Many kids smoke in genreal, so weed is commonly smoked wihtout knowing. But the majority of students dont do that on campus

4 College Freshman

Weather: I enjoy the fall and cold so I really enjoy this school

4 College Sophomore

Majors: My degree program requires an intensive internship. I have not begun to complete this yet, but I am excited to do so as it will entail putting my knowledge into action in a supervised environment. This is an incredibly important piece of educating counselors to provide effective therapy.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: The accessibility of my program being a military spouse living overseas is unbeatable and cost effective for an online program. There were not many options online for my degree program and Adams State exceeds my expectations all the time.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: The process of getting into my Clinical Mental Health Counseling masters program was not complicated. Adams State Advisers were very helpful and the admissions process is not dead lined making it easy to complete while I was moving to a foreign country.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: The dining options off campus are good, and cheap. There's not a huge variety of restaurants but the ones that are around are decent. Campus Cafe is a local favorite.

3 College Senior

Weather: I enjoy the weather because I know when it's cold that means I can go snowboarding. The snow does not stick so it's very easy to get around. There are high winds in the Spring.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: There are people around to help you when needed. In the dorm/ on campus apartments they do health and wellness checks.

3 College Senior

Party Scene: Alamosa is a small town, and most of the students who attend are athletes. Many athletes have dry season so there are not many parties that go on except for occasionally on the weekend. There are a few bars in Alamosa, but one must be 21 to get in.

5 College Senior

Academics: A+ because the professors just make you want to learn more

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: A+ because I love every near restaurants that are around campus.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: B+ because sometime the staff aren't that strict with the students.
