3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The workload and criticism from professors are hard but they mean the best. It is to prepare you for the work force and real life.

Academic Experience: ARC is a great tool.

Campus Quality: The Computer lab isn't open to anyone as well as certain books in the library. The projectors are terrible quality. And the Dining is terrible food.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: I'm not sure what the post-grad services are at my school but Ive heard of the high hiring level once graduating from here so Im looking forward to it

Student Body: There are a few good students. But if you're living in the dorms, people get caught up with what they expect from a college-drugs, drinking, sex, partying. And honestly you pay good money for an education not for stds and nights you can't remember. The other half of the student body are asians, and no one knows what they're saying half the time anyways.

Tuition & Financial Aid: This school is very expensive and there is no real financial help given from the school. The only thing is the teachers are industry professionals and know how its like in the real world. They prepare you with heavy criticism and heavy workloads. At the end everything is worth it.

Overall Experience: In the end, with all its flaws, I still love this school. The improvement I see in myself and my peers in a single semester rivals the skills of many professionals out there. In the end, it's worth it.

Student Body: So diverse. Because of their open admissions policy, anyone with a high school diploma (and financial aid) can join. I have seen and interacted with people of all ethnicities, religions, genders, and sexualities.

Campus Resources: There is not a whole lot of campus life. The campus is spread out throughout the city of San Francisco. There aren't a whole lot of centralized hang out/study spots. The library is decent, but most books can't be checked out. The have to be read in the library.

Campus Resources: Part of the reason why the school is so expensive is because they pour so much money into getting the latest industry standard technology.

Academic Flexibility: The teachers here will push you so hard, you will either live up to your full potential, or have a nervous breakdown. Or in my case, both. They will not hold your hand. They will not try to be your friend. They will hold you to industry standards. And that's why I love the teachers here.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Where do I even start. This school has basically zero scholarships. You have to rely entirely on federal aid and third-party scholarships. Which sucks because this school is super expensive. That being said, if you end up being successful at your craft, you'll be able to pay it back. But if you can't finish your degree? Then may god help you.

Online Courses: The online course system is great. Most courses are available online, except for ones like Acting, which honestly really should be in person. I recommend taking your general ed classes online and your major courses on site.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: There is an online job board, which is really great. I actually found a paid summer internship there! However, it's not highly advertised. I didn't even know it existed until my fourth semester.

Academic Experience: After your first semester, you can register for all your classes online easily. And if there's something you need fixed or changed, just drop your academic adviser an email, and he or she will respond within 24 hours.

Academic Experience: The Web Design and New Media major is probably one of the best majors here. Unlike other schools, which focus too heavily on either the graphic design side or the technical side, AAU's WNM program provides a good fusion of both.

3 College Freshman

Campus Quality: The education itself is wonderful, but the administration can sometimes be a pain in the butt.

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: So far the facilities have been very clean, there is transport throughout the whole city provided by the school

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: I haven't started class yet so I am not sure what the resources are like academically, but both the gyms were not accessible today when I went to check them out.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The internet at my dorms are very slow.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: Administrators have worked with me as much as possible to get my schedule to where I wanted it to be.

3 College Freshman

Online Courses: It was a lot to deal with as a work load and having 2 full time jobs. But manageable.
